(Minghui.org) Master presented the following dialog in his article “A Dialog with Time:”
Divine Being: In my opinion, there is no need to wait for those who cannot become gods. In fact, they can only be humans.
Master: (talking to himself) In the human world, they are indeed too thoroughly lost. They might have to end up like this. I’m afraid they won’t even be qualified to be humans in the end!
Divine Being: Actually it’s not bad to become humans in the new world. Compared with those innumerable high-level beings in the universe who have been eliminated by history, they are already incomparably fortunate.
Master: I still want to wait for some time, see what they are like when the more microscopic matter that damages mankind has been cleaned up, and then make a decision. After all, they did come to obtain the Fa.
Master wrote this article on July 3, 1997. In the article, the divine being in charge of time asks Master to end his mission earlier and not delay it. Master, however, keeps delaying the end in order for more disciples to return home and for more sentient beings to be saved.
The time that Master has prolonged should be 100% for us to use for our cultivation and saving people. It is the same case with regard to the time that Master has prolonged for elderly practitioners. It is for their cultivation instead of for enjoyment of their daily lives. They must use the time wholly for cultivation. In other words, this prolonged time does not belong to us; it is a Dafa resource. Treasuring the prolonged time is treasuring a Dafa resource.
Master said,
“After the conference, tell those who haven’t been diligent, when the opportunity arises, 'You are running out of time. What are you going to do?'”
“Given how time is so extremely pressing, have you thought about what’s going to become of those who haven’t cultivated well? Some people still have a chance, but some no longer do. For some there is still time left, and for some their only hope is to sprint.”(“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
We all should feel that time is pressing. Some practitioners are still in a bad mood and some in a numb state during the final Fa-rectification period. The left-over old evil forces wildly persecute practitioners with sickness karma. We should all be mature by now from the lessons learned.
Everyone feels that time is flying; not much has gotten done when the day is over. Master has made great efforts to prolong the time for practitioners. The Fa-rectification might have already been over according to the old forces' arrangement.
In that case, many people might not be in this world and the practitioners' cultivation journey ends right there. This prolonged time period is not for us to enjoy ourselves but is for us to save more people. If we waste the time, wouldn't we have wasted Dafa's resources and committed crimes?
I shared with a practitioner about cultivation some time ago. He told me that he did not have time to go out to save people because he was too busy with his work.
I believe that time is not a problem for practitioners. It is up to you to walk out of the human state. I worked in a fashion company for four and a half years. I did the management work and only had 13 days off during that four and a half years. I spent more than 12 hours at work including travel time, sometimes even 14 hours. Even so, I had time to study the Fa and do Fa-rectification work.
I worked in a company founded by a practitioner last year. This practitioner got up at 3:40 a.m every day and did all five sets of exercises; he sent forth righteous thoughts at 6:00 a.m. He went out at 6:30 a.m. on his motorbike with Dafa materials to save people. Then he arrived at the company at 7:20 a.m, had breakfast, and began to work at 8:00 a.m.
Time is not a problem for every practitioner. There are 24 hours in a day. Minus seven hours for sleep and meal time, there are 17 hours left. Besides working, have we used the rest of our time wholly on cultivation?
Master said, “Cultivation is the most important thing in the cosmos.” (Lectures in the United States, “Teaching the Fa in New York City”)
Have we treated cultivation as the most important thing? Being busy does not necessarily conflict with cultivation.
For a high school student facing the college entrance examination, he would be considered a diligent practitioner if he spent half an hour a day on Fa study. For a retiree, however, if he studies three lectures a day but spends the rest of his time watching TV or shopping, he is wasting time.
After so many years of Fa-rectification, we all should know what hurrying up means. We should not look for excuses to not let go of our attachments or for our laziness. It would leave opportunities for the old forces.
Time is now very precious. Even though Master keeps prolonging the time of Fa-rectification, the end could come any day. We should use the time given by Master 100% for cultivation and Fa-rectification, so as to not let Master down.
