Germany: Commemorating the April 25th Peaceful Appeal in Berlin, Munich and Dusseldorf
(Minghui.org) On the afternoon of April 25, 2018, Falun Gong practitioners in Berlin gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy to commemorate the historic occasion when over 10,000 practitioners appealed to the Chinese central government in Beijing 19 years ago on April 25, 1999.
Practitioners sat along one side of the Jannowitzbruecke (bridge), peacefully protesting the persecution of Falun Gong that is still going on in China.

“We know the communist tyranny. Their embassy is across the road. You are courageous.” “Absolutely, the atrocities must be stopped,” and, “I like Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance,” were some of the remarks expressed by passersby. Some people accepted a flier and continued on, while others stopped to talk with Falun Gong practitioners.
The peaceful exercises caught the attention of Sylvie, who had visited Hong Kong and China and was familiar with Falun Gong. When she was in Hong Kong, she saw some hooligans cursing Falun Gong practitioners in the street. Later when she visited mainland China and asked people about Falun Gong, she saw that Chinese people were afraid to answer her questions.
“You could see that the control on the Chinese people is very strict,” said Sylvie. “Everywhere, you could see monitors installed and the people are under surveillance. You can feel the pressure the Chinese people experience.” Then she added, “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance – these three words are great. I feel very good seeing the exercises being done. I will sign the online petition [calling for an end to the persecution].”

That same day, many miles from Berlin, practitioners from Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Salzburg, Austria gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Munich.

Falun Gong practitioners from Dusseldorf and surrounding areas staged a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in the morning. They went to Vodafone Zentrum in the afternoon and spoke to government office employees about the persecution of Falun Gong in Communist China.
