(Minghui.org) Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) practitioners in Lima, Peru, held a commemorative candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy on April 25, 2018, the 19th anniversary of Falun Gong's peaceful appeal in Beijing. They protested against the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and called for an immediate end to the persecution.

Luis, a Falun Gong practitioner, told the reporter, “We commemorate the peaceful appeal in Beijing on April 25, 1999. Nineteen years ago, ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners with their peaceful appeal told the Chinese government and the world that Falun Gong had not done anything wrong, and that Falun Dafa is great! Unfortunately, the Chinese Communist Party launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, and it is still being persecuted today.”
Luis added that Falun Gong is an ancient cultivation practice that has changed his life. He follows the Falun Gong principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in his everyday life, looks within himself for the root cause of problems, and has improved his character. He sincerely praised Falun Dafa as a practice that has truly led him to great physical and spiritual health.
