(Minghui.org) Ms. Bai Yujing was cooking dinner at home on June 2, 2017, when the police broke in and seized her. She was briefly held at Shijiazhuang City Second Detention Center before being transferred to Shijiazhuang Women's Prison, where she remains today.
The Zhengding County resident's arrest stemmed from her earlier arrest on March 25, 2011, for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. She was sentenced to 7 years in prison but was released on bail around July 2011, when she became incapacitated in the local detention center.
Ms. Bai resumed doing the Falun Gong exercises at home and gradually recovered. The local police never loosened their grip on her and kept harassing her at home. They eventually took her back into custody on June 2, 2017.
When her family visited her in 2017, they noted that she couldn't move one arm and one leg but that she was still able to walk. By 2018, things had gone downhill. She has to be wheeled out to meet them on visiting days and can no longer take care of herself.
As Ms. Bai serves time for her faith, her three children, including one in elementary-school, one in pre-school, and a four-year-old, are being taken care of by their grandmother, who is in ill health.
