(Minghui.org) A Falun Gong practitioner from Shan'xi Province was recently sentenced to four years for putting up posters to expose the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Shi Haizhong, 45, is currently imprisoned at Qi County Prison in Shanxi Province. He was arrested on September 21, 2017, while putting up the posters. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his computer, printer and Falun Gong-related materials.

He was kept in detention for nearly one year before he was sentenced. The details of his sentencing remain to be investigated.

This isn't the first time that Mr. Shi was arrested for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.

On August 1, 2003, he was arrested for writing a public message to urge people to learn the facts about Falun Gong. The police searched him and interrogated him at the police station. He was detained at Gaoping City Detention Center for 15 days. His home was also ransacked by the police.

The police and local residential committee staff continued to monitor and harass him after he was released. They also sent him to brainwashing sessions and attempted to force him to renounce his faith.

Due to long-term stress from the persecution, Mr. Shi developed depression and was hospitalized twice.

His wife recently had a car accident and lost a foot. With one of his children still a student, his family is going through a very difficult time.
