(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 were illegally arrested.

8. [Xinning County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dong Huimin Detained

Eight officers from the Changyi Police Department and Hadawan Police Station broke into Ms. Dong Huimin's home and ransacked the place. They found no incriminating evidence, but still arrested Ms. Dong and took her to the Hadawan Police Station.

Ms. Dong was forced to sign their paperwork, before being taken to a detention center, where she was held for ten days.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yi Xiaoping Arrested

Ms. Yi Xiaoping, 46, a teacher at the Special Education College in Changchun University, has been missing since May 2018. She was arrested, but no further details are known.

Ms. Yi was detained for 15 days in May 2016 by the Nanguan Police Department's Domestic Security Division.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Dong Lirong Detained

Mr. Dong Lirong was followed and arrested by officers from Bahao Township when he was distributing Falun Gong materials. He was held in a detention center for ten days.

4. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Xinrong Detained

Mr. Liu Xinrong from the Kenli District was arrested on the morning of July 22, 2018. Police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, and 200 yuan in paper bills with information about the persecution printed on them.

Mr. Liu was taken to the Dongying City Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

5. [Shangqiu City, Henan Province] Mr. Sun Zhuanjian on Trial

Mr. Sun Zhuanjian, 60, was reported to the police while distributing Falun Gong materials in a rural area. He was arrested on December 19, 2017. The Suiyang District Court put Mr. Sun on trial on the morning of July 10, 2018. No verdict has been given yet.

6. [Rudong County, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Wang Zhengfang Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wang Zhengfang, 59, was tried in the Rudong County Court on July 3, 2018. He was sentenced to an 18-month prison term, and was taken to the Nantong Prison.

Several other practitioners were tried at the same time, however, they were only fined 2000 yuan each and were released.

7. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Songnu and Ms. Zhu Peiting Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Ying Songnu and Ms. Zhu Peiting were taken to the Zhejiang Province Brainwashing Center on July 11, 2018.

Ms. Ying's home was ransacked.

8. [Xinning County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Meiying, Ms. Li Aiqun, Mr. Xu Minghe and his wife were reported to the police when they were distributing Falun Gong information materials in Shitian Village on June 27, 2018. Dozens of police cars from Xinning County Police Department and Shitian Police Station surrounded the practitioners.

They were taken to the police department and subjected to 12 days of detention.

About 30 officers and agents from the Gaoqiao Town Police Station and Yan Village Committee used a ladder to enter Mr. Xu's home through a window, so they could ransack the place.
