(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Cheng Ying and Five Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cheng Ying, who lives at Lane 3493, Taihexi Road in the Baoshan District, was arrested by Gucun Police Station officers on the afternoon of September 6, 2018.

Five other practitioners were also arrested at the time.

2. [Beijing] Eight Practitioners Detained

Donghuashi Street Police Station officers in the Dongcheng District arrested eight practitioners on the afternoon of September 6, 2018. Seven of the eight arrested include: Mr. Fu Yamin, Mr. Wang Hong, Ms. Wu Ye, Ms. Li Luying, Mr. Wang Shunli, Ms. Liu Shengping, and Xiao Ren. They are all being held in the Dongcheng Detention Center.

Ms. Liu, in her late 60s, had seizures, and her blood pressure rose very high after the arrest. She was in critical condition. The officers took her to a hospital for a physical exam as part of the standard procedure, instead of having her condition checked out. She was taken to the Dongcheng detention center by Donghuashi Street Police Station officers.

Ms. Liu had seizures again on the morning of September 9. Her symptoms were relieved only after she was given oxygen. Ms. Liu was released and taken home by her family on September 10.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Qingxia was recently arrested. Ms. Song Zhaoheng and Ms. Liu Duanshuyan, both 76, were arrested later. All three were taken to the Yushu Detention Center.

Deputy director Zhu Hongyan of the Tai'an Township Police Station and other officers broke into Mr. Fu Weidong's home and arrested him on the afternoon of September 5, 2018. Mr. Fu was detained for five days. He has since returned home.

Mr. Chen Yaohui was also arrested, detained, and then released.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Yingxia Placed Under Criminal Detention

Ms. Wang Yingxia was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was taken to the Shiyangchang Police Station, and has since been placed under criminal detention in the Chengdu Detention Center.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Feng Guiqing Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Feng Guiqing from Qingliu Town in the Xindu District was reported by a village official and arrested at her home on the evening of September 15, 2017. She has been held in the Chengdu City Detention Center for nearly a year. Her case was turned down twice by the Procuratorate, but she was not released.

In the end, the village officials framed her, and Ms. Feng was sentenced to a 15-month prison term by the Xindu Court on September 12, 2018.

Ms. Feng is due to be released on December 25.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Hongzhen and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Zhou Hongzhen and her husband were reported to the authorities on September 9, 2018, for distributing Falun Gong materials. The police arrested them and ransacked their home, confiscating a printer, laminator, paper cutter, and Falun Dafa books.

Ms. Zhou and her husband were released at 1:30 a.m. after the detention center refused to accept them for failing the physical exam.

7. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Che Shufeng Detained

Ms. Che Shufeng from the Zhifu District was arrested by Shengquan Police Station officers in the Laishan District for distributing Falun Gong informational materials and talking to people about Falun Gong at the Laishan Farmers' Market on the morning of September 8, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Che was taken to the Yantai City Detention Center.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Shulian Detained

Ms. Guo Shulian, 70, from the Muping District was arrested on the morning of September 8, 2018, for distributing Falun Gong materials and talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Dayao Police Station.

Ms. Guo was transferred to the Muping Detention Center by Domestic Security Division officers from the Muping Police Department. The officers intended to detain her for 15 days.

9. [Shanwei City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zhang Songqing and Mr. Pan Zhihao Detained

Haifeng County Domestic Security Division officers took Mr. Zhang Songqing to the Haifeng Detention Center on August 1, 2018. He went on a hunger strike for six days. The officers threatened to force-feed him or give him injections if he carried on with the hunger strike.

About two weeks later, Mr. Zhang was not able to pass bodily waste for 15 days.

The Domestic Security Division turned Mr. Zhang's case over to the Procuratorate on September 4 and notified his family to go to the police department to get his arrest warrant.

Mr. Pan Zhihao was taken to the Haifeng Detention Center on July 31, 2018, by Haifeng Domestic Security Division officers. Mr. Pan's family repeatedly asked his lawyer go to the detention center to visit him, but the detention center denied their requests.

The Domestic Security Division turned Mr. Pan's case over to the Procuratorate on September 4 and notified his family to go to the Police Department to collect his arrest warrant.

10. [Taicang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Qin Yanqiu and Ms. Dong Meiying Arrested

Ms. Qin Yanqiu and Ms. Dong Meiying were arrested and taken to Zhangjiagang City.

11. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiuqin Officially Placed Under Arrest

Ms. Li Xiuqin was arrested by Xianghe County 610 Office agents and Domestic Security Division officers on August 5, 2018. She has since been officially arrested.

12. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Mr. Ding Yuming Tried

Mr. Ding Yuming was arrested in February 2018 by Majuqiao Police Station officers in Beijing for writing “Falun Dafa is good” in public in Beijing. He was released after going on a hunger strike.

Mr. Ding was arrested again shortly after returning home. He was tried on the afternoon of September 12, 2018.

13. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zhu Zuoxin Detained

Mr. Zhu Zuoxin was placed under administrative detention for 15 days on August 27, 2018, by the Jiangnan Police Department. He was taken to the Jinhua City Lockup Center that afternoon.

Mr. Zhu was placed under criminal detention on September 7 and was taken to the Jinhua Detention Center.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Hongyu and Ms. Sheng Jie Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Hongyu, 42, and Ms. Sheng Jie, 62, from the Lushun area were taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison in late June 2018.

Both practitioners were arrested by Dalian City Police Department officers on June 28, 2016. They were tried by the Lushun Court in February 2017. Ms. Wang was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term, and Ms. Sheng was sentenced to seven years.

15. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Zaihua Taken to Prison

Mr. Chen Zaihua was transferred from the New Inmates Ward in Liaoxi Prison to Kangjiashan Prison in Shenyang City on June 8, 2018.

16. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Lin Detained

Ms. Li Lin, 50, was arrested at home by plainclothes officers from Dayanggou Police Station in the Yuzhong District on the afternoon of September 7, 2018. She was taken to the Caijia Detention Center in the Beibei District.
