An Amazing Experience After I Nearly Sawed Off My Thumb

Jan. 9, 2019 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) The accident happened on the morning of April 3, 2018. I was sawing tree branches on the west side of my house. When I was nearly done, my right thumb touched the saw blade and in less than a second the thumb was cut and only part of the skin was still connected.

I immediately asked Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) for help. I remained calm. Carrying the saw in my left hand, I unplugged the power cord and took the saw into the house.

I removed both gloves, pressed the nearly severed thumb to the palm at the correct angle, and wrapped it in bathroom tissue. I didn't feel any pain.

Afterward, I went outside to use the toilet. However, when I walked out, I felt very weak, started to lose consciousness and my whole body began to sweat. I had a thought, “You are dying!”

I dragged myself back into the house and sat on the sofa. In a voice no louder than a whisper, I called to Master Li for help, “Master please save me.” After I called out twice, my consciousness returned, and I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts.

This was truly a moment of life and death. Thank you Master! You saved my life.

In the days following the accident, the thumb appeared to have good circulation and the wound healed quickly. The bone and muscles reconnected, and soon I could move my thumb. It was a miracle!

One of my neighbors who knew what happened said, “I need to say 'Falun Dafa is good' and 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good', too!”

I mention this incident when I clarify the truth to people, and they say it's amazing. They ask if I lost a lot of blood but actually there were only three drops of blood on the ground. They all agree that even if you go to a hospital immediately with a broken finger, the doctor can't promise the finger will be reconnected and move again.

From studying the Fa, I know that whenever something like this happens, I need to look at myself for the cause. I realized I was not in a righteous mindset when I nearly sawed off my thumb.

After my husband divorced me, I had resentment towards him and his family. I didn't even realize that I had so many negative thoughts about him. While I was sawing the tree branches, some bad thoughts emerged again and I didn't immediately eliminate them.

Cultivation practice is very serious. I'm sharing my story to remind other practitioners: be mindful of our thoughts and negate any negative interference.
