(Minghui.org) Three Wuhan City, Hubei Province residents have been held incommunicado since their arrests on September 5, 2019, for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

The practitioners' families have been stonewalled when inquiring about their whereabouts at the local police station and residential committee.

Ms. Zhang Guozhen, around 60; Ms. Zhang Fenglan, 61; and Ms. Wan Jiuxian, 56, were initially given ten days of administrative detention at Wuhan City No.1 Detention Center. When their families went to the detention center on September 16, they were told that the practitioners had already been transferred to a secret detention facility.

Ms. Wan Jiuxian's family went to the local residential committee to inquire about her current status. One staff member took pictures of them and refused to disclose information about her to them.

Ms. Zhang Fenglan's family experienced similar obstacles. An officer called her older brother on October 1, 2019, and told him to get together some clothes for her. Three officers met with him at a local supermarket and took the clothes, but they refused to tell him where she is being held or allowed him to go there with them.

Ms. Zhang Fenglan's family went to Wujiashanjie Police Station on October 4 and demanded a copy of her detention certificate. An officer told them that they no longer issued the hardcopy certificate. He also refused to disclose the name of the person in charge of her case.

Her family returned to the police station three days later and met with officer Liu Xuqing, who happened to be the one who sent the practitioners to the detention center. Liu denied he was responsible for their cases and left in the middle of their conversation.

Four officers harassed Ms. Zhang Fenglan's son a few days later.
