1. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhu Mei and Ms. Guo Huili Detained

Ms. Zhu Mei of Binhai New District was arrested by officers from Jinnan District on the evening of September 24, 2019. The officers confiscated personal items from her home. Ms. Zhu is under criminal detention at Dongli Detention Center.

Ms. Guo Huili was arrested and taken to Wuqing Detention Center around September 25, 2019. Her home was ransacked.

2. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Manhua and Ms. Du Ting Arrested

Ms. Yang Manhua and Ms. Du Ting were arrested on the morning of September 26, 2019. Police ransacked Ms. Du’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, two computers, and other items.

3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Li Dongjun and Ms. Huang Xiuhua, a couple from Ninth Branch, Hongguang Farm, were arrested by officers from the Songyuan City Domestic Security Division on the evening of September 9, 2019. The officers ransacked the couple’s home and confiscated several cellphones, Falun Gong books, Falun Gong calendars, and other items. The couple was taken to the Domestic Security Division for interrogation. Ms. Huang was released on the morning of September 25, after she was detained for 15 days at Songyuan City Detention Center.

Ms. Yu Wei (daughter-in-law of Mr. Li and Ms. Huang) was arrested by officers from the Qian Gorlos County Domestic Security Division and the Baiyilaga Township Police Station in the morning on September 10, 2019. The officers confiscated her cell phone and computer. Ms. Yu was released on the morning of September 25, after she was detained for 15 days at Qian Gorlos County Detention Center.

Ms. He Ping, a practitioner named Wang, and a practitioner named Yang were arrested on September 10, 2019. Ms. He was first held at Songyuan City Detention Center and then taken to Shanyou Detention Center.

4. [Panshi City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Harassed and Ms. Li Yanrong Detained

Officers from the Mingcheng Town Police Station and agents from the local Comprehensive Management Office went to several practitioners’ homes and harassed them on September 12, 2019. The officers arrested Ms. Li Yanrong and took her to a detention center.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dang Minling Detained

Ms. Dang Minling, of Suxiang Village, Erdao Township, Fengman District, was arrested by four officers from Erdao Township Police Station on the morning of September 23, 2019. She was taken to a detention center.

6. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Su Yanying Arrested

Ms. Su Yanying, of Xinmin Neighborhood, Guangyang District, was arrested by officers from Jinqiao Police Station on September 27, 2019. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books, and other items.

7. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Teacher Wang Arrested

Teacher Wang was arrested on September 23, 2019 by officers from the Jing County Domestic Security Division, led by deputy head Cao Guang. The officers confiscated a set of Falun Gong books. Teacher Wang was released.

8. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Guying’s Whereabouts Unknown

Officers ransacked Ms. Liu Guying’s home in the morning on September 20, 2019. They confiscated Falun Gong books, weekly newsletters, exercise music players, and other items. Ms. Liu’s whereabouts are unknown. 

9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Liwen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Liwen, of the Xishan area, was arrested on September 27, 2019. Her apartment was ransacked, and printers, computers, and other items were confiscated.

10. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liang Li Became Ill in Detention

Ms. Liang Li of Sanli Neighborhood was arrested at her mother’s home on the morning of July 31, 2019 by a dozen officers, led by Yang Yigui, head of Shouguang City Domestic Security Division. They ransacked the home and confiscated Falun Gong books and other items. Ms. Liang was taken to Weifang Detention Center. Several days later, Ms. Liang became ill and could not take care of herself. Guards called Ms. Liang’s family and asked them to take her home. 

11. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Qiulan Detained

Ms. Lu Qiulan, of Gudao Neighborhood, Shengli Oil Field, was arrested by plainclothes officers in Hekou District on September 26, 2019 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Police took her home and ransacked her place that afternoon. Ms. Lu is being held at Hekou Detention Center.

12. [Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Gu Xiufang Arrested

Ms. Gu Xiufang was arrested at home by officers from the Zhanggong District Domestic Security Division and the Nanwai Police Station on the evening of September 21, 2019. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, calendars, phone books, and 400 yuan in cash. Ms. Gu was handcuffed behind her back and dragged out. Police interrogated her at the police station. The next day Ms. Gu was taken in the afternoon to a hospital for a physical exam and then to Ganzhou City Detention Center. The detention center refused to admit her, and she was released.

13. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Zhiyi Detained

Ms. Luo Zhiyi was harassed at work by officers from Huaqiangbei Police Station on the afternoon of September 26, 2019. She was then arrested at home after 7 p.m., and the next day Ms. Luo was taken to Meilin Detention Center.

14. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yan Rongjie Imprisoned

Mr. Yan Rongjie was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. He was taken to Beijiang Prison on September 18, 2019.

15. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Bai Haiying Detained

Ms. Bai Haiying, was visited at work by officers from Xiaoba Police Station on the afternoon of September 24, 2019 and was tricked into going to the police station. She went to the police station, and the officers took her to her home and ransacked it. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, cell phone, and other items. Ms. Bai is being held at Kunming City Detention Center.

16. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Zhilian and Ms. Chen Fulan Sentenced

Ms. Chen Zhilian, 73, and Ms. Chen Fulan, 60, of Shizhong District, Leshan City were arrested at a farmers market in Jiuli Town, Ermeishan City by officers from Jiuli Town Police Station on June 8, 2019 for having Falun Gong printouts. On September 25 the Ermeishan City Court sentenced Ms. Chen Zhilian to three and a half years in prison and a fine of 10,000 yuan; Ms. Chen Fulan was sentenced to 18 months in prison and a fine of 6,000 yuan.

17. [Qu County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Shoulan Detained

Ms. Li Shoulan was arrested by officers from the Qu County Domestic Security Division for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on September 12, 2019. She is detained at Qu County Detention Center.
