(Minghui.org) A man was sitting on the side of the road next to an unmarked vehicle, just around the corner from my house one evening. I was pretty sure he was an undercover police officer on surveillance duty. In my heart, I asked Master for wisdom, so I could stop this man from committing a crime against Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa). Silently repeating the phrase for sending righteous thoughts, I approached the man and asked him, “Young man, you are a policeman, right?” He looked at me, nodded, and said, “Yes.”
I tried to sit down, but the ground was dirty, so I stood facing him. Before I had a chance to speak, he put up his hands to stop me.
I just ignored his gesture and started talking. A while ago, my motorbike was hit from behind by a semi-trailer. My bike ended up under the truck. I braced my head in my arms and kept reciting “Falun Dafa is great, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great” when the accident occurred. I was able to get back on my feet very quickly. Many people witnessed this. One elderly gentleman told the truck driver off, “You were driving way too fast. Couldn’t you have hit the brakes and slowed down a bit?”
The young male driver was in shock but rushed over to me when he saw me picking myself off the ground, “Auntie, are you alright?” I replied, “I'm fine. I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner. Do you know that Dafa is great?” He said, “I know, Auntie. Everyone in my family knows that. We have all quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Auntie, Dafa has saved you! It has saved you...” He kept repeating it.
I reminded him, “Young man, please move your truck back a bit so I can pull my bike from underneath it.” Relieved, he moved the truck and picked up my bike. There was hardly any damage to my bike except for the lid of the bike basket which had come off. I tied the lid down with a rope and said to the driver, “Nothing major, I can get that fixed. You are free to go.” He was happy to oblige.
I got on my bike and went to a relative's house for lunch. I told my husband about the accident when I got home later and he was furious. (At this point in my story, the police officer suddenly raised his head to look at me.) My husband asked if I'd let the driver go, implying that I should have asked for money. He then picked up his chair and with menace in his voice said, “The accident did not kill you, but I will.” I said to him calmly, “If I had harbored any bad intentions such as extorting money from the driver, I probably would have died there and then. I would not have been protected by Dafa – it only protects virtuous people, those that are considerate of others. Dafa would not protect bad people. Anyway, it was an accident. How would you feel if the same thing had happened to you and the victim tried to extort money from you?”
The young policeman looked up at me with admiration in his eyes, “ You are right.”
I continued, “We would not have met had I not practiced Falun Dafa. I was in another incident in 2012. I was chatting with someone while on my way to my mother-in-law’s house and a drunk driver crashed into me. The front of his bike was damaged and so were my watch and necklace, but I was unharmed. The rider really tried to compensate me. I told him, “A true Falun Dafa practitioner will never ask you for money. I just hope that you speak up on behalf of Falun Dafa. I am not worried at all about any damages.”
The young police officer was surprised that I had come through two horrific accidents unscathed. “Ma'am, how long have you been practicing Falun Dafa?’ I told him, "21 years and not a single cent on hospital expenses.
I started to clarify the truth to him, saying, “Falun Dafa is a Buddhist discipline, it teaches us to conduct ourselves in accordance with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Do you think the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) can suppress us forever with their lies and malicious falsehoods? Have you ever seen a real Falun Dafa practitioner behave like the ones that are on TV?
“Chinese people who travel overseas know that Falun Dafa is freely practiced everywhere, and only the CCP is banning it. The self-immolation incident at Tiananmen Square was fake. It was staged to malign Falun Dafa. It has already been deleted from the junior high school textbook on politics. It’s still mentioned in a grade five textbook but many teachers tell their students that it is a CCP lie and that Falun Dafa is great.
“Many innocent people have been killed since the CCP banned Falun Dafa. If you have an opportunity to visit Guizhou, you must go to see the Hidden Character Stone, to see what is inscribed on it: ‘the end of the Chinese Communist Party.’ The inscription was not made by any man, it was the work of nature.
“We are now seeing so many natural and man-made disasters. Yet greater catastrophes are still to come. They are punishments for the sins of man. You and your colleagues put in a lot of time monitoring us, preventing us from informing the public about the lies and atrocities perpetrated by the CCP. Goodness will be rewarded and evil deeds will be met with retribution. What are you and your colleagues going to do when it comes to the day of the demise of the CCP? I almost want to cry because some people just do not want to listen to us.”
“We just want to live in peace. The CCP has lied to all of us and has been feeding us twisted stories to glorify themselves.
“For example, could Huang Jiguang have been able to hurl himself at the enemy’s machine gun when he himself was ridden with bullet holes? Qiu Shaoyun was hailed as a ‘war hero’ because he sacrificed himself to save his comrades by lying still and burned when a bomb hit his squad. Wouldn’t it have caused a greater disaster since he was also carrying hand grenades and explosives?”
The officer lifted his head and listened as I went on: “In the early years of its persecution of Falun Dafa, the CCP media spread outrageous stories about practitioners murdering, committing suicide, self-immolating - one gruesome lie after another. In the Tiananmen self-immolation, the ‘actor’ Wang Jindong was supposedly setting himself on fire but only his clothes burned--his hair, eyebrows, and the plastic soft drink bottle he held did not even catch fire.”
Before I even touched on how corrupt the CCP is, the young officer was convinced. He quit the CCP and promised to remember the phrases “Falun Dafa is great, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great.”
