(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Jianhua Taken to Prison

Ms. Wang Jianhua from the Nanguan District was arrested by officers from the Nanling Street Police station on the evening of April 14, 2018. She was tried for the second time on the morning of August 9, 2019, and sentenced to a four-year prison term and fined 10,000 yuan. Ms. Wang appealed, but the court upheld the original verdict.

She was taken to Changchun City No. 2 Women's Prison on October 31.

2. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yan Yugeng Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Yan Yugeng from Matun Village was arrested at home on January 16, 2019. His home was ransacked. He is being held in Hengshui Detention Center. His family recently learned that Mr. Yan had been sentenced to a one-year prison term.

3. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Shufang and Ms. Li Hanqing Detained

Ms. Liu Shufang from Nanxiaozhuang Village, Dingxing County, was arrested on November 2, 2019, for distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong on them. She is being held in a detention center for ten days.

Ms. Li Hanqing was arrested on November 2, when she was sightseeing and her National ID card was checked at a checkpoint. Li Junling, deputy head of the Dingxing County Domestic Security Division, and others from the Ludong Police Station brought her back to her hometown. Ms. Li is being detained for 15 days, and her ID card has been confiscated.

4. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Officially Arrested

Mr. Zhao Genfa is being held in the Qufu City Detention Center. Ms. Qiao Huarong, Ms. Huang Chunling, and Ms. Liu Honglan are being held in the Jining City Detention Center. 

They were all officially placed under arrest on November 1, 2019.

5. [Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Cases of Three Practitioners Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Li Chuanming, Ms. Zhang Guilan, and Ms. Bai Shuyun were arrested on the evening of October 10, 2019, by officer Liu Tao, from the Hailar District Railway Public Security Division Domestic Security Team, and officers from the No. 1 Railway Police Station and Domestic Security Division in Yakeshi City. Their cases have been turned over to the Procuratorate.

6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Guiying Tried

Ms. Zhao Guiying was arrested by officers from the Sifengshan Police Station on March 18, 2019, when she was hanging up “Falun Dafa is Good” banners. She was held in the Jiamusi City Detention Center, and was tried by the Xiangyang District Procuratorate and the court on November 5.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yunqi Detained

Ms. Wang Yunqi was arrested at home by officers from the Xiangfang District Domestic Security Division and the Jinxiang Police Station on the morning of October 22, 2019. She is being held in Xiangfang Detention Center.

8. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Shisong Arrested

Mr. Li Shisong was arrested on November 5, 2019. His home was ransacked.

9. [Beijing] 70-Year-Old Ms. Gu Xiaohua Detained

Ms. Gu Xiaohua, 70, was arrested by the local police in early 2019. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Gu's lawyer filed an application to get her released on bail, but the appeal was rejected. She is now emaciated.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Dong Guigang Facing Trial

Mr. Dong Guigang from Linjia Village, Zhucheng City, was arrested on August 7, 2019. His family was notified that his case had been turned over to the Gaomi City Court, and he is facing trial.

11. [Susong County, Anhui Province] Mr. Zeng Yinlang Detained

Mr. Zeng Yinlang was placed under criminal detention by the Susong County Police Department on September 10, 2019. He is being held in the Susong Detention Center.
