(Minghui.org) The Minghui.org website recently confirmed that an elementary school teacher died a few days after being released from prison for practicing Falun Gong in 2009. He was around 50 years old.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Mr. Cai Weitang, a resident of Haimen City, Jiangsu Province, was sentenced to four years in Dingshan Prison of Yixing City in 2005. He was released in early 2009 when he fell into a coma. He died a few days after his family took him home.

It remains to be investigated what abuse he might have been subjected to that resulted in his condition.

Prior to the prison term, Mr. Cai was given two years in the Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp in 2001. There, the guards deprived him of sleep because he refused to give up his faith.
