(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Tang Hongqi Arrested His Whereabouts Unknown
7. [Yongji City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Liying Sentenced
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Shao Detained
Ms. Shao, a dentist, was arrested on June 5, 2019 and subjected to 10 days of detention. She is being held at the Weizigou Detention Center.
2. [Beijing] Ms. Li Jian Died from Persecution 12 Years Ago
Ms. Li Jian was detained twice in Chongwen District Detention Center, and was force-fed there. She was arrested on April 16, 2000 and held for a year in the Daxing Women's Forced Labor Camp. She suffered various tortures, such as “flying an airplane”, kicking and beating, hours of continuous direct sun exposure, sleep derivation, etc. During the “flying an airplane” torture, her hands were cuffed behind, then forcefully lifted high. After she was release, she was still pursued by police, and had to flee her home to escape the harassment. Ms. Li was held at the Changping Brainwashing Center for four months in 2001 and forced to denounce her belief. It deeply hurt her mentally and physically. Her health continued to deteriorate and she passed away on June 17, 2007.
3. [Beijing] Whereabouts of Mr. Li Gang and Ms. Xu Junzhi Unknown Since Their Arrest
Mr. Li Gang from Shandong Province was arrested 10 years ago when he was distributing Falun Gong flyers in the Beijing Lidu Hotel. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Xu Junzhi was arrested in the end of May, 2019. Her whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hu Jinping Faces Trial
Mr. Hu Jinping of Luozhuang District will be tried in court on June 11, 2019. He was arrested by Linyi City Domestic Security Division officers on September 29, 2018. Ms. Qian Jinhua, Ms. Gong Maohai, and Ms. Hu Jinhui were arrested at the same time.
5. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Zhenqin Detained
Ms. Xu Zhenqin from Dongdaiguzhuang, Tushan Town was arrested on her way to work on the morning of May 23, 2019. The officers confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Dafa, Falun Gong books, discs, players, printouts, and other items. Ms. Xu was detained for 15 days in the Laizhou City Detention Center.
6. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Tang Hongqi Arrested His Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Tang Hongqi, around 60, was arrested by officers from the Gulou District Police Department in the second half of 2018. His whereabouts are unknown since then.
Mr. Tang was sentenced by the Quanshan District Court in 2005 and imprisoned for five years in the Sihong Prison.
7. [Yongji City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Liying Sentenced
Ms. Wang Liying, 60, was arrested in March 2018 when she distributed Falun Gong informational materials. The Wanrong County Court sentenced her to two years in prison in August 2018. She was taken to the Shanxi Women's Prison and held there since then.
She was previously arrested three times and was sentenced to four years in prison.
