(Minghui.org) I used to have many health problems, including a stomach disorder, nerve weakness, stuffy nose, and gynecological issues involving severe uterine bleeding. In 1995, I contracted serious bone tuberculosis. But because I received the wrong treatment due to a misdiagnosis, I could not lie flat in bed for more than a year. When the pain came, I just curled up into a ball. I took a lot of pain medications every day, but the pain was still so unbearable that all I could do was cry.
One month after I took up Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, in June 1996, however, all of my diseases miraculously disappeared. Living by the practice's core principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I also became kinder and more broadminded, which would later help me deal with adversities in life.
My then-husband had an affair in 1998 when I was pregnant with our younger daughter. At that time, I had been laid off for years. He came home every two months after the child was born in August 1999. After the 2000 New Year, he left home with his girlfriend and never came back. He never gave me any money for the children.
My younger daughter became paralyzed when she was ten months old after being misdiagnosed at a hospital. With two children to raise, I was at my wit’s end and just lived day to day. I wondered when it would all end.
In 2002, my husband filed a lawsuit to divorce me and collect a debt of more than 100,000 yuan that he claimed I owed him. The court granted his request because I was in another city far away and could not defend myself in court.
For the past 19 years, my ex-husband has never given me any money to help support our children, nor has he seen them. But I remembered what Master Li Hongzhi (the founder of Falun Dafa) had taught me and did not ask him for any money. I did not hate him or his relatives.
Master said,
“The very act of using human thinking to stress who’s right and who’s wrong is in itself wrong. That’s because you are then using the logic of ordinary people to evaluate yourself, and using that logic to make demands on others.” (“Fa Teaching Given in Manhattan,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. X)
Over the past ten years, I have visited the children's paternal grandmother every New Year and given her gifts. She and her daughter were not friendly to me at first. They mistakenly thought that I was going to see them to ask for money for child support. I told them that I just wanted to visit them.
Two years ago in 2017, I visited my ex-mother-in-law with my younger daughter. I told her the facts about Dafa and helped her quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
She smiled and said that she would remember the phrase “Falun Dafa is good.” She also said that I was very kind. I told her that it was Master Li who taught me to be that way. I always gave her a few hundred yuan each time we visited.
My ex-husband always tried to avoid me for fear that I would ask for alimony and child support. I went back to my hometown two years ago and decided to tell him about Dafa. My relatives and friends advised me not to, but my mind was made up.
With strong righteous thoughts, I was calm and peaceful that day. I waited for him for two hours in his workplace. When he came over and asked me why I was there, I let him know that the girls practice Falun Dafa and that they were very good. We talked like good friends. I told him the facts about Falun Dafa and how people all over the world practice it. I also helped him renounce his membership in the CCP. When I left, he said, “Dafa is good. You should keep practicing.”
Blessed by Dafa, my two girls are now grown. My paralyzed younger daughter has recovered as well. She is bright, cheerful, and beautiful. I bought a house and opened a clothing shop in another city.
A genuine practitioner should clarify the truth and save people. I would like to share what I have done in the past two years.
Master said,
“Then, as a cultivator, you should make use of all feasible conditions to spread Dafa and validate Dafa as a correct and true science, rather than preaching or idealism—this is every cultivator’s obligation.” (“Validation,” Essentials for Further Advancement)
“Clarifying the facts and saving sentient beings are what you need to accomplish. There is nothing else for you to accomplish. There is nothing else in this world that you need to accomplish.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference”)
I’d always wanted to tell my former teachers about Dafa. I asked Master to give me the opportunity.
One day, I came across a school principal in my younger brother's store. He’d been my teacher in middle school. I was very pleased. I had not seen him for more than 30 years. Master must have arranged this opportunity. I chatted with him for a little while and then asked him for his telephone number.
I invited him to dine out a few days later. He indicated that he could bring along some other teachers, but I just wanted to talk to him alone for fear of distraction. At the table, I told him about my physical and mental improvement after the practice.
He said, “You know a lot of things. Nobody had ever told me what you just said. I like it. You were very smart. I had a very good impression of you.”
I said, “We have a predestined connection. You taught me a lot. To pay you back, I wanted to let you know about Falun Dafa. I hope you and your family have an auspicious future.”
My teacher was very happy and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I also gave him some informational materials about Dafa.
The following day, I visited my former English teacher in his office. He is now the Communist Party Secretary at a well-known school. I paid attention to my appearance and dressed neatly. I sent forth strong righteous thoughts, which is what I always do before meeting people.
He was very happy to see me and gave me a painting. He praised me and told me that I was different from the other students in school. I thanked him and invited him to dinner. During dinner, I told him the facts about Falun Dafa. When I was ready to help him quit the CCP, we were interrupted by an incident in the restaurant. I will find another chance to talk to him.
I attended three different grade schools. I also changed jobs three times before I had my own business. Thus, I know a lot of people in my hometown and in the working world. I always dress neatly and bring a small gift when I visit someone because people will judge you by your appearance.
For those people I could not meet in person, I wrote them a letter about the improvements in my health after I picked up the practice. I also wrote to my father's friends and the friends of my classmates.
I went home for my middle school reunion last year. There were 32 students in our class, and we had not seen each other for more than 30 years. We were very happy to get together. At the dinner, I told three classmates how good and extraordinary Dafa is, and two of them quit the CCP. A few days later, I dined out with several other classmates and helped them quit the CCP. On this trip, I met every classmate I wanted to talk to, and they all quit the Communist Party.
I also have many elementary school classmates. In December 2017, 16 of us connected through WeChat. I coordinated a gathering in a big restaurant.
It was frigid and snowing on the day of the party. I was worried and sent righteous thoughts. I also asked Master for help. Happily, everyone showed up. We were very excited to get together and chat. At the end, I told them about how my health problems disappeared after I started to practice Dafa. I wanted them to remember “Falun Dafa is good.” They listened quietly. Four or five of them quit the CCP after the dinner.
In June 2019, I closed down my business for two weeks and drove back to my to hometown to visit people I know. I told them that Dafa is good and helped them quit the CCP. I wrote to or called those I could not talk to in person. I helped them quit the Party over the phone.
One of my classmates is now the Party Secretary. He was out of town on business when I planned to meet with him. I was determined to see him and asked Master for help. Master knows our every thought. As a result, my wish came true. I met him and helped him quit the CCP.
Sentient beings are waiting for us to save them. As long as we have the wish to save them, Master will help us. From many years of cultivation, I’ve also enlightened that only great compassion can touch peoples' hearts and help them understand what Falun Dafa is.
