1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xuhong Placed in Criminal Detention

Ms. Wang Xuhong was arrested by officers from the No.3 Team of the Criminal Police Division in Heping Police Department when she was reading the teachings of Falun Gong on July 10, 2019. That day the officers took two memory cards, a cell phone, and 6,000 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. Two days later the officers ransacked her home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Minghui Weekly, and informational flyers about New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV).

Ms. Wang was taken to the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center. It was reported that she would be held for at least 37 days, including 30 days of criminal detention. According to the police, more than 30 practitioners have been arrested in Shenyang in the past few days.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Changjiang and Other Practitioners Arrested

The Jilin City Police Department dispatched a large number of police officers, who broke into many practitioners’ homes and arrested them on the evening of July 19, 2019. Six practitioners who have been arrested and not listed in earlier reports are: Cui (last name), Cao (last name), Yang (last name), Chai (last name), Chai’s spouse, and Mr. Wang Changjiang. They were all arrested at home for no reason. All officers were in plain clothes.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Pan Yongjun and Wife Ms. Zhang Qiang Placed in Criminal Detention

Mr. Pan Yongjun and his wife Ms. Zhang Qiang from the Lujinguoji Residential Community, Luyuan District, were arrested by officers from the Kuancheng District Police Department and the Xisantiao Police Station at home on the morning of July 19, 2019. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, a printer, a computer, and several cell phones. Liu Guohua, an officer from the police station, told the couple’s family the following day that the couple were placed in criminal detention, and held in the No. 1 and No. 4 Detention Centers of Changchun City.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Several practitioners were recorded by surveillance cameras when they were distributing Falun Gong materials in Huapichang Town on July 18, 2019. Seven or eight officers led by Liu Chao, director of the Huapichang Town Police Station, broke into Ms. Ma Ying’s home and arrested Ms. Ma, Mr. Zhang Yong, and Ms. Gai Shuqin on the morning of July 19. Ms. Ma was released for failing the physical exam.

On the evening of July 19, three or four officers led by Liu Chao broke into Ms. Cui Xiuqin’s home and arrested her. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and a notebook computer.

5. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Shumin Given a Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Chen Shumin was tried by the Yunhe District Court on June 18, 2019. She was recently given a four-year prison term. Her lawyer went to visit her at the detention center, and delivered her appeal to the Yunhe District Court on July 19.

6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Geng Shulan and Ms. Li Dongmei Taken Into Custody

Ms. Geng Shulan and Ms. Li Dongmei were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of July 18, 2019. They were arrested by officers from the Zhongshan Police Station, Qiaoxi District. They were taken to the Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Center on the morning of July 20, after being held in the police station for 24 hours. Their families went to the police station to demand the two practitioners’ release when they were still held there. The police refused to release either practitioner.

7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. You Yunsheng in Critical Condition

Mr. You Yunsheng from the Shengli Oilfield was given a three-and-a-half-year prison term by the Shouguang City Court in October 2017. He has been held in the Shandong Province Prison, where he had been placed under strict supervision for persisting in practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. You suddenly developed symptoms of myocardial infarction at the beginning of July 2019 and was taken to the police hospital. The hospital issued a notice of critical illness that day. While he was hospitalized, Mr. You asked for medical parole, which prison authorities refused. It was reported that Mr. You has been transferred back to the prison.

8. [Xiajin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Tang Jilan Held in Custody

Ms. Tang Jilan from Shuangmiao Township was reported to the police for talking to others about Falun Gong on July 14, 2019. She was arrested and is being held in the Dezhou City Detention Center.

9. [Ju County, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Chuanxiang Detained

Ms. Xu Chuanxiang from Haojiahonggou Village, Qiaoshan Town, was arrested by officers from the Zhaoxian Town Police Station when she was posting Falun Gong materials on Zhaoxian Street in Zhaoxian Town on July 3, 2019. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a desktop computer, a notebook computer, and a scooter. Ms. Xu was taken to the Ju County Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

10. [Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Zhenghua Held in Custody

Ms. Li Zhenghua, 76, from Jiangdu District, was reported and arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials around April 20, 2019. She has been held in custody, and family visits were denied.

Ms. Li was arrested in September 2015, and was sentenced to three years in prison, with three years of probation.

11. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Tian Xiuzhen, Ms. Li Xueyun, and Ms. Tian Yunkai were arrested by officers from the Wuxue City SWAT Team and the Dafasi Town Police Station on the evening of July 19, 2019. Ms. Tian Yunkai was released that evening.

12. [Ezhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Dong Cui’e Detained

Ms. Dong Cui’e from Tingzu Town was arrested when she was distributing Falun Gong materials on July 16, 2019. She was detained for 15 days.

13. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Five Elderly Practitioners Held in Custody

Ms. Lin Zuoying, 80, from Tianhe District, was arrested at the Taihe Subway Station by officers from the Public Transportation Police Department on July 9, 2019. Ms. Wang Xuezhen, 79, Ms. Zhang Hui, in her 60s, and two other female practitioners, in their 80s, were also arrested at the same time. The five practitioners are being held in the Guangzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

14. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Teng Hongbing’s Home Ransacked

Four people claiming to be the Fucheng District police, broke into Ms. Teng Hongbing’s home and ransacked it on the afternoon of July 20, 2019. Ms. Teng was not at home at the time. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and over 80 yuan in cash.

15. [Beichuan County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Jifang Arrested

Ms. Jiang Jifang and her granddaughter went to visit Mr. Mao Kun on the morning of July 10, 2019. When they arrived, police officers were ransacking Mr. Mao’s home. Ms. Jiang and her granddaughter were arrested and taken to the police station. Her granddaughter was brought home by her family an hour later. Ms. Jiang’s current whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

The Chengxi Police Station, Xindu District, dispatched two police cars to 74-year-old Ms. Cheng Shengqiong’s home and arrested her on the afternoon of July 20, 2019. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, all her Falun Dafa books, and printed materials. Ms. Cheng was taken to the police station. She was placed under criminal detention and taken to the Chengdu City Detention Center the following afternoon.

Ms. Li Cuilan from Shangdong Street, Jinjiang District, was arrested on July 19, 2019.

Ms. Yan Xiuying from Qinglongchang Main Street, Chenghua District, was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Qinglong Police Station on July 10, 2019.

17. [Longxi County, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Caixiu’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Li Caixiu was recently recorded on surveillance cameras in a residential community when she was talking to people about Falun Gong. Security guards reported her to the police. Officers from the Longxi County 610 Office ransacked Ms. Li’s home and confiscated a computer.
