1. [Xuchang Cigy, Henan Province] Mr. Cai Junping Held in Prison
The court, Procuratorate, the domestic security division, and local police station worked on secretly sentencing Mr. Cai Junping, in Suqiao Town, Jian’an District, to three years in prison on July 20, 2019, without notifying his family. Prior to the sentencing, Mr. Cai had been held in custody for over one year. He has been held in the Xinmi Prison for two months.
2. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Chunhuan Faces Trial
Ms. Li Chunhuan received a notice from the Changyi Court in recent days that she should go to the court for a hearing on October 28, 2020.
Ms. Li’s husband Mr. Liu Dapeng has been sentenced to three years, and he had previously been sentenced to 11 years in prison.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ci Meiyun Officially Arrested
Ms. Ci Meiyun, 62, from Heilongjiang Province, was arrested by officers from the Santai Township Police Station on September 22, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong while visiting relatives in Wafangdian City. She was officially arrested and held in the Yaojia Detention Center. Elderly Ms. Zhang Baoling and Ms. Jiang Shubo in Fuzhoucheng Town, Wafangdian City, were also arrested along with Ms. Ci.
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Suying and Husband Mr. Sun Guangli Officially Arrested
Ms. Meng Suying and her husband Mr. Sun Guangli, who are from Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, and temporarily living in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, were reported to the police for distributing several leaflets telling the public how to avoid the coronavirus on the evening of April 6, 2020.
They were arrested and taken to the local police station by officers from the Liujianfang Police Station. They were interrogated by Li Wei and Zhao Wei, who are former head and former deputy head of the Domestic Security Division. Mr. Sun was beaten by Li. Then Zhao led people to the couple’s home and ransacked the place. They confiscated two sets of Falun Dafa books and a cell phone.
Due to the severity of the epidemic, the detention center did not accept them. The couple were taken home at 7 p.m. the following day, and were placed under residential surveillance.
Officers from the Dongjie Police Station, Liaozhong District, went to the couple’s home and harassed them several times.
The couple were arrested again at home by five or six officers at 7 p.m. on October 9, 2020. The officers confiscated two copies of Zhuan Falun and two photos of the founder of Falun Gong. After being held for 24 hours, the couple were taken to the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center and the Shenyang No. 2 Detention Center respectively. They have been officially arrested.
5. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Hongzhao Arrested
Practitioner Liu Hongzhao in Longjiaquan Town, Yishui County, was arrested by officers from the Chengqu Police Station when talking to people about Falun Gong on October 21, 2020. Liu was released the next day after paying a deposit of 10,000 yuan.
6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xiumin Mistreated in Detention Center
Ms. Liu Xiumin was arrested on September 7, 2020. After she was taken to the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center, she developed high blood pressure, which reached over 200. The detention center did not release her and put medicine in her meal, but she found it. She insists on practicing and opposes the persecution.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Shulin Arrested
Three officers, led by Li Xueming from the Gulong Town Police Station, went to a teacher Mr. Wang Shulin’s office in No. 1 Middle School, and arrested him on the morning of September 22, 2020.
At the police station, the police told him to write three statements, otherwise he would be fired. Mr. Wang did not cooperate and defied the officers for two hours before he was released.
8. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Deng Tianyu Arrested
Ms. Deng Tianyu in Shashi District was again arrested by officers from the Jiefang Police Station on October 18, 2020.
On October 19, the police called her family, and the family learned that that she was arrested. She had been forced to live under surveillance prior to her arrest.
9. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Practitioners Huang and Zhang were arrested by officers from the Tonghe County Domestic Security Division on October 16, 2020. They were taken to Harbin City for detention.
The Tonghe County Domestic Security Division arrested eight local Falun Gong practitioners on September 11, 2019, after two months of tailing and surveillance.
Ms. Zhang Guiyun, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, and Ms. Chen Shoumei are still being held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center. They are facing trial.
10. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Nancheng Community personnel went to Ms. Chen Yuxia’s home and demanded that she sign three statements on October 12, 2020.
Justice Office and Nancheng Community staff members went to Ms. Tong Zhenjie’s home, intimidated her, and forced her to sign three statements on October 12.
Two judicial officers went to Ms. Guo Qingfen’s home, took pictures of her, and tricked her into pressing her fingerprints on a blank sheet around September 10, 2020.
11. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Wei Ruizhi’s Home Ransacked
Three officers from the Ping’ancheng Police Station and Sun Shuyuan, Party secretary of No. 3 Ping’ancheng Village, went to harass 89-year-old practitioner Wei Ruizhi (gender unknown) and slandered Dafa on October 16, 2020. They demanded to know whether Wei was still practicing Falun Gong. They confiscated a Chinese New Year painting with Falun Gong information on it, a pendant, and a calendar.
12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Five practitioners were arrested on August 6, 2020. Also arrested was Ms. Yao Yuyan’s husband Mr. Song Liang. Ms. Yao escaped from the police station on August 8, and her family has lost contact with her.
Mr. Song was officially arrested. The other five practitioners were released on bail at the end of September. Ms. Yao’s family signed the “bail certificate” letter for her.
13. [Beijing] Mr. Guan Yingshan and Wife Ms. Du Guiqin Arrested
Mr. Guan Yingshan and his wife Ms. Du Guiqin in Chaoyang District were reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong informational cards. Officers from the Xinyuanli Police Station broke into their home and arrested them on October 22, 2020.
They confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Dafa books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.
Later, Mr. Guan developed high blood pressure and high blood sugar. The couple were released that day.
14. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wei Huirong’s Home Ransacked
Five officers, led by Chen Quansheng from the Xichang City State Security Division, went to Ms. Wei Huirong’s home and ransacked the place around September 20, 2020. Ms. Wei was not at home. The officers confiscated all of her Falun Dafa books.
15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Yuge Harassed
Starting in late September 2020, the community members kept calling and harassing Ms. Gao Yuge’s family. They asked her family whether Ms. Gao was still practicing Falun Gong. Her family rebuffed them.
Recently, Cai Xichun, from community police office, called Ms. Gao’s family, asked whether she was still practicing Falun Gong, and asked her to sign guarantee statements. Later, Cai went to Ms. Gao’s home and asked her to sign paperwork, which she rejected. Ms. Gao also told Cai the facts about Falun Gong.
16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Gao Yongsheng Harassed
Officers from the Qingxia Sub-district Police Station, Dayi County, located and harassed Mr. Gao Yongsheng again on October 22, 2020. They took pictures of him, and even asked him to announce his support for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which he rejected.
17. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Mr. Liu Zengkui and Mr. Liu Bobin in Xiangfang District were arrested by the Xiangfang District police on October 21, 2020.
Mr. Liu Zengkui was taken to the Bayan District Detention Center, and Mr. Liu Bobin to the No. 4 Detention Center. Both homes were ransacked.
Ms. Tan Guiling in Xiangfang District was arrested on September 22, 2020. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a laptop, six cell phones, and a set of Falun Dafa books. She was detained for 15 days, and returned home on October 8.
Ms. Bai Jing was arrested on October 24, 2020. Her laptop and Falun Dafa books were confiscated. She was held in the Guxiang Detention Center, and was released seven days later.
18. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Huimin and Practitioner Xie Qunhua Detained
Ms. Li Huimin and practitioner Xie Qunhua (gender unknown) were reported to the police when talking to people about Falun Gong in Yanjiang Village, Longtang Town, on October 12, 2020. Both practitioners were arrested. They were taken to the Leiyang City Detention Center the following day. Ms. Li was detained for 15 days. The police took 1,000 yuan cash she carried. Xie was detained for 10 days, and returned home on October 23.
19. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Rong Harassed
Wang Xin and another female staff member of Lanxin Community Neighborhood Committee, Xiantao Sub-district Administration Office, Yubei District, harassed Ms. Chen Rong on the afternoon of October 23, 2020. They asked her to sign “five statements” renouncing Falun Gong, which she rejected. The female staff member took pictures of her. Wang also threatened to notify the police.
20. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Peipei Arrested
Ms. Liu Peipei was arrested on October 22, 2020.
21. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Arrested
Ms. Liu in Gaocheng District was reported to the police when talking to people about Falun Gong in North Jiatong Village, Zhangjiazhuang Town. She was arrested and taken to the Shijiazhuang Detention Center for 10 days of detention.
22. [Shanghai] Practitioners’ Fingerprints, DNA, and Blood Samples Forcibly Taken
CCP officials forcibly collected blood samples from Falun Gong practitioners, saying that it was for DNA filing. Most of the practitioners’ blood samples were forcibly taken. Mr. Chen Haigang was among the victims.
23. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Changxiu Arrested
Ms. Xie Changxiu, 80, was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of September 30, 2020. She was arrested and taken to the Luoshui Town Police Station.
Subsequently, the officers brought her home and ransacked the place. They confiscated all Falun Dafa books, Minghui Weekly, her national ID card, over 1,000 yuan in cash, three cell phones, and two music players. The officers also ransacked homes of Ms. Xie’s son and granddaughter.
