(Minghui.org) We have long understood from Fa teachings that the current pandemic is inevitable. Master Li has also explained it to us clearly in the article “Stay Rational.” While most people have adopted preventive measures such as wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, or sheltering in place, we, as Dafa practitioners, should look at the situation from the perspective of the Fa.
During the lockdown, many practitioners who used to clarify the truth at tourist spots began to make phone calls to people in China to inform them of how the Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting Falun Dafa in the past two decades and how to quit the CCP organizations.
The lockdown has now been lifted or loosened, but I’ve noticed that many practitioners are still staying at home. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t conform to society’s regulations, but as long as we follow the social distancing rules, we can still go out to raise awareness about the persecution of Dafa.
Master said,
“True Dafa disciples have higher energy and are able to destroy karma and germs; they are emissaries of salvation in these latter days, and bring their wisdom to bear upon saving people as they share truthful information related to our practice.” (“Stay Rational,” Team Yellow Translation)
Master has made it clear to us,
“As a matter of fact, if your thoughts are very righteous, when you walk down the street and go about your life in the city where you live, all of your surroundings will be cleansed. Your mere existence has the effect of saving sentient beings.” (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York)
If we all stay home, we won’t have the opportunities to help those overseas Chinese learn the truth and quit the CCP organizations. We have only limited time left. Let’s hurry up and save more people.
The Seriousness of Reading the Fa Correctly
I also want to share another thought. I’ve noticed a common phenomenon in different Fa study groups I’ve attended. Some practitioners often make mistakes when they read, either by adding or missing a word or misreading a word.
In some instances, others point it out so the mistake can be corrected, while sometimes, nobody says anything. In some cases, the practitioner who made the mistake kept making the same mistake, which almost became a habit. Some practitioners don’t think such mistakes matter much, but I believe this is a very serious issue that warrants urgent attention.
Master said in the article “Be More Diligent,”
“Another thing is, some people always think, “What Master wants, we’ll do it, but let’s do it a little better,” and again it’s a case of changing what Master wants. There are human attachments at work whenever that’s the case, and it serves as interference.” (“Be More Diligent,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. X)
My understanding is that when we add or omit a word when reading the Fa, it may have amounted to changing the Fa. Although it is an unintentional mistake, the consequence could be very serious. I would therefore suggest that we take the matter seriously, look within, and find out why such mistakes were made so as to prevent them from recurring.
