1. [Xinzheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Shang Limin and Ms. Shi Xianghong’s Appeals Upheld

Ms. Shang Limin and Ms. Shi Xianghong were tried on December 20, 2019. Ms. Shang was sentenced to a three-year prison term, and Ms. Shi was sentenced to a 20-month term. Both practitioners appealed.

The Zhengzhou City Intermediate Court recently upheld the original verdicts. Ms. Shang is being held in the Zhengzhou No. 3 Detention Center. Ms. Shi is being held in the Xinzheng City Detention Center.

2. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhong in a Coma Due to Persecution

Ms. Zhang Yuhong, in her 50s, was sentenced to a four-year prison term and taken to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on September 24, 2019.

She had a brain hemorrhage after being mistreated in the prison and is now in a coma.

Ms. Zhang is in the intensive care unit of Shenyang 739 Hospital. The prison will not pay for her treatment. Fu Rong, director of the Prison Affairs Section and eight other officers are stationed outside the intensive care unit to monitor her. They are also preventing Ms. Zhang’s family from visiting her.

The doctor said that she also had a traumatic injury to her abdomen, but the prison guards refused the family’s request to exam the injury.

Mr. Xu Zhangqing (a civil servant), his wife Ms. Tu Ailian, and their son Mr. Xu Gaorui from Xinpu Town in the Xiaonan District have been held in custody for over nine months. They are facing trial.

4. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Huairong Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhao Huairong from Xinglong County was tried by the Chengde County Court on June 16, 2020. She was sentenced to an 18-month prison term.

5. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Jin Changlin Arrested

Mr. Jin Changlin was arrested in early June 2020, and later released. He was arrested again on June 18, handcuffed, and taken to the Procuratorate.

6. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sui Yongyan Arrested

Mr. Sui Yongyan was reported to the police by a post office staff member on the morning of June 18, 2020, for mailing Falun Gong informational materials. He was arrested by officers from the Zhen’an District's Zhenzhulu Police Station.

Mr. Sui is now quarantined in Kuandian County due to the coronavirus pandemic, and will be sent to a detention center.

7. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Guangyan and Her Son Mr. Wang Xiyao Arrested

Ms. Chen Guangyan and her son Mr. Wang Xiyao were arrested by officers from the Jiangyuan District on June 21, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Their home was ransacked.

8. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ni Weiqing Arrested

Ms. Ni Weiqing from the Huiyang District was arrested by officers from the Shaoguan Police Station on the evening of June 13, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and a laptop computer and Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Practitioner Yin Jun was arrested by officers from the Hongqijie Police Station, who were waiting outside the front door, on June 18, 2020. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a laptop computer, and a cell phone. Yin is being held in the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Guiqing, Mr. Zhou, and practitioner Xiaoshenzi were also arrested. Mr. Zhou and Xiaoshenzi were later released. Ms. Wang is being held in the No. 106 cell of the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center.

10. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Guoqin Arrested

Ms. Xu Guoqin from Shalan Town in Ning’an City was arrested by officers from the Shalan Police Station on the morning of June 22, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers' market.

11. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Shuqin Arrested, Ms. Zhang Suhua Arrested and Displaced

Officers from the Jianchang County Domestic Security Division and the Laodazhangzi Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Suhua’s home in Niudongzi Village and arrested her on June 8, 2020. Ms. Yang Shuqin was also arrested.

Ms. Zhang returned home that afternoon. The police later went to there and harassed her again. They ordered her to write a guarantee statement promising to give up practicing Falun Gong, or be sent to a forced labor camp.

Ms. Zhang became displaced to avoid further persecution.

12. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Yali Held in Detention Center

Ms. Huang Yali from Anlu City, Hubei Province went to another practitioner’s home in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province on the evening of June 11, 2020.

That practitioner was arrested shortly before Ms. Huang arrived. The police were still there, and arrested her.

Ms. Huang is being held in the Bao’an District Detention Center in Shenzhen.

13. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yue Weifang in Intensive Care, Three Other Practitioners Taken to Detention Center

Officers from the Yongjijie Police Station ransacked Ms. Yue Weifang’s home in the Fengrun District in the early hours of June 18, 2020. They threatened her, and she fainted on the spot. Her family took her to a hospital and she was immediately put in intensive care.

Mr. Zhuge Wei, Mr. Yang Luwei, and Mr. Xiao Huijun were arrested and taken to the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center that same day.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Shulan Arrested and Released, Ms. Liu Zixuan and Ms. Ye Linlin Facing Trial

Elderly Ms. Zhang Shulan from North He Ping Li Street in the Dongcheng District was reported to police on June 21, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested and taken to a police station, and has since returned home.

Ms. Liu Zixuan and Ms. Ye Linlin from the Haidian District were indicted by the Shanhou Court in late April 2020, after two rejections and three postponements by the Haidian Procuratorate. They are facing trial.

15. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Xuan Huaiji Held in Detention Center

Zheng Jianguo, head of the Chongli District Domestic Security Division, along with other officers, broke into Mr. Xuan Huaiji’s home in Xiaoshuiquan Village, Yimatu Township and ransacked it on May 13, 2020. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Mr. Xuan became displaced to avoid being arrested.

He returned home on the afternoon of June 17, and was arrested later that evening. The officers confiscated his cell phone, Falun Dafa books, and printed materials, and stuffed Mr. Xuan into the trunk of their car.

Mr. Xuan is being held in the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Zhongsu Arrested and Released the Same Day

Ms. Deng Zhongsu from the Qingbaijiang District was reported to the police by a taxi driver on the morning of June 19, 2020, when she talked to him about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Datong Police Station. They confiscated the Falun Gong materials she was carrying.

The officers took photos of her at the police station, and demanded that she sign three statements: a written confession, a written pledge promising to give up her belief, and a statement revealing and criticizing other practitioners.

She refused, and returned home later that evening.
