(Minghui.org) After the persecution of Falun Dafa began in July 1999, only a few practitioners in our village continued practicing. The police often came to harass us or raid our homes, sometimes arresting us. Every time the village officials knew the police were coming, they tipped us off in advance to protect us. We often clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to them and give them informational materials. We have also helped them quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its related organizations. They were also blessed for supporting Dafa and have been re-elected in every election.
At the end of last year, a fellow practitioner and I distributed New Year calendars and truth-clarifying materials in the village. The residents were delighted to receive them and some quit the CCP and its related organizations. We were encouraged to see people awakening.
One night, we went there again with more material. We visited each apartment building, took the elevator to the top, and worked our way down from floor to floor. We knocked on each unit’s door to talk to people and distribute the materials. When no one opened the door, we hung the materials on the doorknob.
When we reached the last building and were about to go upstairs, someone called us. It turned out to be the village secretary. He said, “I know it’s you. You should hurry up and leave this area.”
We took his word and left. He also followed us. After reaching a safe place, he told us that the village officials were called for a meeting and warned of Falun Dafa practitioners distributing materials there. They asked us not to go back to that area that night and to be careful. “I will take care of the rest,” he said to us.
Later we learned that the police checked the surveillance video to look for us. As both of us had worn masks, the village officials all said that they couldn’t recognize us. We were really touched by their kind protection.
