(Minghui.org) My aunt started to run a low fever in mid-October 2020. She was tested at the community hospital and they said she had “pleural effusion” (water on the lungs). In mid-November, the fluid that had been draining from her chest started to run nonstop every day—and it turned red. It was confirmed that she was suffering from a rare neuroendocrine tumor. There is currently no good treatment for this condition, and a painful death is inevitable.
When my aunt knew that there was no hope of a cure, she was devastated and cried all day. The whole family was very sad. Because of the pandemic, I could not go to see her in the hospital.
Her family thought about trying Chinese medicine since Western medicine did not help. But they gave up the idea for fear of potential complications.
I called my aunt in the evening on the last Tuesday in November. She could barely speak and sounded exhausted and as if she’d lost all hope. I encouraged her not to give up. I told her that Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, might be able to save her. I suggested that she could try sincerely reciting the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” every day.
My aunt was scheduled to check out of the hospital on Friday. A miracle happened after my phone call on Tuesday. The fluid that had been draining from her chest cavity nonstop for more than a month suddenly stopped. She couldn’t believe it and asked the doctor and nurse to doublecheck. She checked out of the hospital without a problem on Friday afternoon as planned.
I called her the following day. She was as excited as a child to tell me what had happened, saying, “It’s a miracle!” She said she had recited the phrases every day since I called her.
I told her that she should thank Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, instead of me. She said that she counted on her fingers as she recited the phrases—each of her first nine fingers representing one sacred word and her tenth finger representing her appreciation for Master. I told her to keep reciting.
I visited my aunt during the New Year holiday. It had been more than one month after she was discharged from the hospital. She looked very good. Before my visit, she had gotten checkups at the hospital twice and the results were the same: No fluid was found!
