1. [Shanghai] Mr. Du Ting Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Du Ting was sentenced to a one-year-and-six-month prison term on November 26, 2020.

2. [Qujing City, Yunnan Province] Several Practitioners Harassed in Zero-Out Campaign

Since the CCP’s zero-out campaign began in 2020, many practitioners have been harassed. Practitioners over 70 who were harassed included Ms. He Zeying, Ms. Huang Biling, Ms. Zhao Qunmei, and Ms. Zhan Shuzhe. Those in their 60s included Ms. Yang Lianfeng and Chen Zhongcun (gender unknown). Those under 60 included Ms. Li Hongmei, Ms. Tang Shuilan, and Ms. Liu Cuihua.

Among them, Ms. Li Hongmei was sentenced to prison. After returning home, she was forced to return pension payments for the period she spent in prison.

3. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhang Lixin and Wife Ms. Wu Guohua Detained

Mr. Zhang Lixin and his wife Ms. Wu Guohua were arrested violently by people from the local police department, Shisanaobao Police Station, judicial office, and town government. The couple were held in the Bairin Left Banner Detention Center for five days.

The couple were arrested around November 26, 2020. At the police department, they were forced to sign paperwork renouncing Falun Gong. At night, the couple were taken to a hospital for a physical examination and then moved to the detention center.

Director Bai Liguo of the Shisanaobao Police Station and other officers went to the detention center and forced the couple to sign paperwork. They threatened that if they did not sign, it would adversely impact the future of their child. The officers also threatened to go to their eldest son’s work unit to harass him.

The couple operated a mobile clothes stall for a living. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated their child’s desktop computer and two cell phones customized for seniors.

The officers turned the whole house over and threw clothes everywhere. The garage lock was broken, and garments, knitwear and other personal items were scattered around in the garage.

4. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Abused in Detention Center

Ms. Liu Liping and Ms. Liu Quanmei returned home on November 6, 2020. It was reported that they were released on medical parole and were to serve their terms outside prison.

Several practitioners are being held in the detention center. One elderly practitioner among them from Tumen City has been arrested several times. Ms. Li Jinxi, 78, is in poor health.

5. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Shuxia and Ms. Wang Shuchun Arrested

The Qianguo County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, 610 Office, and Police Department ordered over ten officers from the Qianguo County Domestic Security Division and the Baiyilaga Township Police Station to break into Ms. Zhang Shuxia’s home in the No. 1 Branch, Hongguang Farm, at noon on December 8, 2020.

They arrested Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wang Shuchun, who was visiting. They ransacked Ms. Zhang’s home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a handwritten copy of Zhuan Falun, and an audio player.

Both practitioners were ordered three times to write “transformation” statements at the Baiyilaga Township Police Station and the Qianguo County Police Department, respectively. They firmly refused on each occasion.

Both practitioners are being held at the Guaibodian Detention Center in Qianguo County.

Officers also went to Ms. Zang Cuiling’s home in the No. 6 Branch to arrest her, but she was not at home.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Xiuying and Ms. Wang Lixiang Harassed

A police officer called practitioner Ms. Li Xiuying’s family to look for her daughter, who is also a practitioner, to sign paperwork on December 4, 2020. Ms. Li’s family flatly refused.

Personnel from the Daxing Community in Hongcheng Sub-district, Nanguang District, went to her home on December 9, but she did not open the door.

An officer from the Shuguang Road Police Station in Nanguan District called Ms. Wang Lixiang on December 9 and told her to go to the police station to fill out a form and fingerprint it. The officer also said that if she did not have time to go, they would go to her home.

7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Xiufang’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Wang Xiufang, 87, from Tangchang Town, Pi County, was reading a book at home on the afternoon of November 25, 2020, when two people who claimed to be plainclothes police officers suddenly broke in. One took her book and the other grabbed her radio. Later, a community staff member surnamed He came in and took several of her Falun Dafa books and the radio, and left with the two plainclothes officers.

8. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

Ms. Wang Ying and Ms. Zhang Huifang, both in their 60s, were arrested on March 30, 2020. Their homes were ransacked. Twenty-four hours later, both practitioners were released on bail after each paying 2,000 yuan.

Their cases were turned over to the Nankai Procuratorate on October 21 and later brought to the Nankai Court on December 3. They are facing trial.

Mr. Huang Min, 51, from Dagang Oilfield, was arrested at a temporary dormitory of his work unit in Zhongshan Community, Haicang District, by officers from the Haicang Police Station on July 23, 2019. He is being held in the Tong’an District No. 2 Detention Center.

The police used the two cell phones they confiscated as evidence and submitted his case to the Jimei District Procuratorate, which twice rejected the filing. Later, the lawsuit was brought to the Jimei District Court on April 15, 2020. It was reported that he was scheduled to be tried on the morning of December 10.

9. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Qingfen Harassed

Four men went to Ms. Zhang Qingfen’s home on the evening of November 9, 2020. They ordered her to sign the three statements to renounce Falun Gong, but she refused.

Nine people, including director Li from the Shuanglin Political and Legal Affairs Committee’s 610 Office, a deputy director from the Shuanglin Police Station, and residential officer Tong Qinsong in Jinnan District went to Ms. Zhang’s home again on the evening of November 18. They told her to sign the three statements, but she refused. They threatened to take measures against her.

Over 10 people from the police station and the Jintiehuiyuan Community Residential Committee knocked on her door, but she did not open it. They kept knocking for over 10 minutes before leaving. They threatened that she would be responsible for the consequences.

10. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Arrested

It was recently reported that among the Falun Gong practitioners arrested by the Zhongwei City police on October 24, Ms. Wang Shunqin was held in the Shizuishan City Detention Center, Ms. Wen Yuxiu was held in the Wuzhong City Detention Center, and Ms. Jing Yuling was held in the Yinchuan City Detention Center.

It was not clear where Ms. Zhang Yulian and other practitioners were held.

11. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Ge Lingzhen Detained

Ms. Ge Lingzhen was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials on the morning of November 15, 2020. She was arrested by officers from the Furong Police Station.

Three officers took pictures of her, but she did not cooperate. Then another officer came. They forcibly raised her head, took pictures of her, and grabbed her hands to obtain all ten fingerprints.

At 12 a.m., the officers called her daughter. Both Ms. Ge’s husband and their daughter went to the police station to reason with the officers. The officers intimidated and coaxed them to pressure their daughter to write guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong on behalf of Ms. Ge.

Ms. Ge was detained for five days.

12. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chunlan and Ms. Li Shufen Held in Custody

Ms. Liu Chunlan lost contact with her family at the end of September 2020. Prior to that, she had been repeatedly harassed by the Development Zone Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office. It was recently reported that she was secretly sentenced to nine months in prison and taken to the Shandong Women’s Prison.

Ms. Li Shufen was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials in a residential community where police officers lived. She was held in the Binzhou City Detention Center for over three months.

She has now received an indictment from the Binzhou District Procuratorate and is facing trial at the Bincheng District Court.

13. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Yanqing Arrested

Ms. Wu Yanqing, about 70, from Jiangyan Garden in Haizhu District, was ordered to sign guarantee statements but refused to cooperate. The officials threatened that they would pressure her son’s work unit to fire him. The officials also threatened her whole family that they had to give in or Ms. Wu would be taken to a brainwashing center.

Community personnel brought people to Ms. Wu’s home on November 16, 2020, and took her in a car to a brainwashing facility, the name of which was not disclosed. The facility had two security guards on duty around the clock. There were two shifts of guards each day.

The officials played a film slandering the founder of Falun Gong and asked for her opinion. She refused to give her opinion. They told her to sign a printed manuscript. She was brought back home on the afternoon of November 23.

14. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liang Ruiqiang Threatened

Mr. Liang Ruiqiang and family members from Lile Town were harassed repeatdly by the police.

In mid-November this year, the police also harassed his son, who was studying in school. Around that time, four or five police officers went to his home twice and told him to write guarantee statements.

On the afternoon of December 7, four or five policemen again pressured him to write guarantee statements. They threatened to arrest him if he did not write them. He still refused.

15. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Zhifang Arrested

Ms. Wang Zhifang, 73, and other practitioners from Kunshan City went to Zhengyi Town to distribute Falun Gong information on April 9, 2020. They talked to an elderly couple at a bus stop and gave them keepsakes bearing Falun Gong messages but were arrested by officers from the Zhengyi Town Police Station.

Officers from the Kunshan City Domestic Security Division ransacked Ms. Wang’s home and took a video without her presence. They confiscated two copies of Zhuan Falun, several copies of Falun Gong lecture recordings, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and printed materials.

She was released on bail and returned home at around 1 a.m. The police said they would go through judicial procedures. Her case was turned over to the Zhangjiagang Procuratorate on November 24. Ms. Wang’s daughter has been notified to tell her mother go to the procuratorate on December 9 to answer questions on the record.

On April 17, the Kunshan Social Insurance Fund Management Center notified her that that her pension payments during her prison term would be suspended. She has received no pension payments since May.

In Kunshan City, three other practitioners’ pensions have also been suspended.

16. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Xu Changlu Harassed

Mr. Xu Changlu was called to the office of the district Communist Party committee by the person in charge of his original work unit on the morning of December 8, 2020.

Deputy Party secretary Zhang Bo of the district Political and Legal Affairs Committee and others threatened Mr. Xu to give up his belief and told him to write the three statements renouncing Falun Gong. He did not cooperate.

Later, they called and threatened Mr. Xu’s son to persuade his father to sign the three statements. They also said that they would have Mr. Xu’s two granddaughters persuade him to sign the statements; otherwise his granddaughters would not be allowed to go to school.

At around 1 p.m. that day, they sent another message to Mr. Xu’s son, telling him to go to the district Party committee office.

17. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Xiaomiao Harassed

Five or six people led by the Party secretary of the Kangcheng Community in Yanjiao Town went to Ms. Dong Xiaomiao’s home and pounded on her door on the afternoon of December 3, 2020. They asked if she was at home and whether she still practiced Falun Gong. They also threatened her husband.

18. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Jianrong Harassed

Staff member Wang from Shacheng Town Comprehensive Management Office and community personnel went to Ms. Liu Jianrong’s home on the morning of December 7, 2020. Ms. Liu did not open the door. They pounded on the door for half an hour and threatened to come back the following day. They also cut off the power supply to her home from the control center downstairs.

Then they called Ms. Liu’s husband and told him to go to the office to sign paperwork. In the prior few days, they repeatedly harassed and threatened him, which resulted in his cursing and yelling at her.

19. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

The Yanshan County Political and Legal Affairs Committee started a new round of harassment in September 2020. They ordered government agencies, enterprises, police stations, and village Party committees to harass and persecute Falun Gong practitioners and their families.

The Yanshan County Domestic Security Division ordered the Yanshan County Education Bureau to start a brainwashing class in November for Mr. Cui Yindai, a retired employee of the Education Bureau; Ms. Han Min, who is Mr. Cui’s wife and a retired employee of Yanshan County Middle School; and Ms. Liu Zhixia, a teacher at the Yanshan County No. 2 Middle School.

After Mr. Cui and Ms. Han were taken to the brainwashing center, his or her 80-year-old mother and a mentally handicapped brother were left unattended in the couple’s home. This has caused great pain to the family and relatives.

20. [Guantao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Lanying’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Sun Lanying was investigated and arrested by Li Junshan and other officers from the Guantao County Domestic Security Division. She is being held in cell no. 704 in Handan City No. 3 Detention Center. Her case was turned over to the Guantao County Procuratorate.

21. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Several Practitioners Detained

A group of people from the Huanghua Town Police Station, the township Comprehensive Management Office, and village Party committees broke into Ms. Xing Fuying’s home in Xingjiaman Village and Ms. Chang Luyu’s home in Qiushuwan Village on the afternoon of October 24, 2020.

Both practitioners were arrested and taken to the Linzhou City Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

The officials broke into the homes of practitioners Lin Xifang and Li Yu (gender unknown) in Zhujiazhuang Village on October 28. Both practitioners were taken to the detention center for 15 days.

Eight or nine people from Guilin Town used a ladder to climb over the wall of Li Gaiyun’s (gender unknown) courtyard at around 6 a.m. on December 1. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and an audio player.

22. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Two Elderly Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Feng Ping, in her 70s, was arrested and her home was ransacked on the morning of November 26, 2020. She was brought back home at noon.

Ms. Yang Jingfang, in her 70s, was arrested and had her home ransacked around December 1. About two days later, the detention center refused to accept her due to her physical condition. She was brought home by her family.

23. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Suqin Arrested

Ms. Wang Suqin, 64, who lives alone, was arrested in early December 2020. Her current situation is not clear.

24. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Gongyi City Domestic Security Division and police stations in four towns including Jiajinkou Town went to Ms. Zhang Dian’s home in Jiajinkou Town on the afternoon of November 25, 2020. They arrested six female practitioners, including Zhang Dian, Li Taodian, Li Zhen, Li Jiu, Juan. The practitioners were taken to the Jiajinkou Town Police Station. The police asked who printed Falun Gong messages on paper currency.

Officers ransacked six practitioners’ homes and Ms. Zhang Suping’s twice. They confiscated all their Falun Dafa books.

Ms. Zhang Suping, Ms. Li Taodian, and Ms. Li Zhen were taken to the Zhengzhou City No. 3 Detention Center. The other four practitioners were released but placed under residential surveillance, and they were told to report to the Jiajinkou Town Police Station at 9 a.m. every Monday.

25. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fan Shirong Taken to Prison

Ms. Fan Shirong was taken to the Zhejiang Province Women’s Prison and has been there for nearly two months. Relatives are not allowed to visit or call her; only her immediate family is eligible for visits. Ms. Fan is unmarried, and her parents live out of town and are elderly of poor health.

26. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Lei Huamei Officially Arrested

Ms. Lei Huamei was arrested at work by officers from the Chengzhong Police Station in November 2020. She was officially placed under arrest and is being held in the Huaihua City Detention Center.

27. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Wenjun Arrested

Ms. Sun Wenjun was arrested by officers from the Ershilipu Town Police Station in Jinpu New Area on December 7, 2020. She has returned home safely.

She was recorded by a video surveillance camera while she was distributing Falun Gong materials on November 23. Four officers from the police station arrested her around 3:30 p.m. The police took her to the police station to collect information on her and to transcribe the interrogation. She was taken home around 6:30 p.m.

28. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ai Yanjing Officially Arrested

Ms. Ai Yanjing was officially placed under arrest on December 7, 2020.

29. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners Harassed

Four officers including Hu from the Xiema Town Police Station, Beibei District, went to homes of Ms. Feng Zhongrong and Ms. Yang Ling and told them to sign the “five statements” renouncing Falun Gong on December 3, 2020.

In addition, other Falun Gong practitioners in the Xiema area were harassed.

30. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ju Yanqiu and Family Harassed

Ms. Ju Yanqiu from Boli County in Qitaihe City was a teacher from the No. 6 Boli Middle School. Her family was persecuted and became displaced in 2002. Currently, she stays with her mother-in-law in Mudanjiang City.

Officers from the Qitaihe City Domestic Security Division broke into her mother-in-law’s home in Mudanjiang City and ransacked the place on December 9, 2020. They also took her brother-in-law and his wife to the police station to ask about her whereabouts.

31. [Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Che Zhongzhen Arrested

Three residential police officers arrested Ms. Che Zhongzhen in her home on December 7, 2020. They confiscated two booklets and one copy of Zhuan Falun.

A few day ago, they went to her home, but the door was locked. They called her daughter, who was out of town, and told her to tell Ms. Che to go to the police station to sign paperwork. They threatened to stop paying Ms. Che’s pension if Ms. Che did not sign.

On December 8, her son from out of town rushed back home to keep an eye on her. She has returned home.

32. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Feng Shujie and Husband Mr. Dai Yajun Detained

Several officers including Liu Qiang from the Hulin City Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Feng Shujie and her husband Mr. Dai Yajun in their home on December 1, 2020.

After that, several more officers came, ransacked their home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, printed materials, and electronic products.

Ms. Feng was placed under criminal detention and taken to the Jixi City Detention Center. Mr. Dai was placed under administrative detention for five days and held at the Hulin City Detention Center. Ms. Dai has returned home.

33. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

People from government and the residential community in Nanshan District harassed Ms. Liu Fengqin on the evening of November 19, 2020, under pressure from higher authorities. They pressured her to sign paperwork, but she refused.

About two months ago, community members led the officers from the No. 6 Police Station to Ms. Liu’s home and told her to write the three statements. She did not cooperate.

Six or seven people went to Ms. Miao Tongxue’s home on the evening of November 19. They wanted to pay 3,000 yuan (1,500 up front) for her to have her name removed from an officially compiled list of practitioners by signing the three statements. She refused.

Ji Jianjun from the Gongnong Police Department and deputy director Chen from the Hongqi Road Police Station went to Ms. Huang Xiaoxia’s home on the afternoon of November 24. They pressured her to write the three statements, but she refused.

Some time ago, community members went to Ms. Hu Guijie’s home to harass her. Recently, they went to her son-in-law’s work unit to harass him, which caused great pressure on her children.

Ms. Jiao Fenghui in Shuyuan Township was harassed several times recently. She was pressured to sign paperwork. She and her family did not cooperate.

One day in the police station, the officers said that they would pay to have Ms. Jiao’s name removed from an officially compiled list of practitioners. They told her family to sign for her, but the family refused.

34. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Qiuchang Detained

Ms. Liang Qiuchang, 50, from Lile Town was arrested and handcuffed by a group of plainclothes officers on the street on the afternoon of July 14, 2020. The officers took her home and ransacked the place. They confiscated several media players and two books.

In the evening, her family heard that she had been arrested by officers from the Qibao Police Station in Xinhui District. On July 15, her family received a detention notice stamped with the seal of the Xinhui District Police Department. Ms. Liang was held in the Xinhui District Detention Center.

Ms. Liang’s family later received a notice of arrest, but they have not received any information about her since then.
