1. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Yanfeng Tried the Second Time

Ms. Guan Yanfeng was tried for the second time at the Jidong County Court at 9 a.m. on December 21, 2020. The first hearing was on November 18, 2020.

2. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Qin Officially Arrested

Wang Lijun, head of the Zhaodong City Domestic Security Division, went to the Suihua City Detention Center on November 11, 2020, and demanded that 58-year-old Ms. Sun Qin write guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong, but she refused. Wang announced that she was officially placed under arrest.

Ms. Sun was taken to the detention center around November 17. During the detention, Wang interrogated her four times within a month to build up a case against her.

3. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners’ Cases Turned Over to Procuratorate

Several practitioners were arrested on August 28, 2020.

Cases of Ms. Hu Hui, Mr. Guo Jinzhao (released on bail), and Ms. Fu Lihong (released on bail) were turned over to the Xiangdu District Procuratorate on November 27.

On the morning of December 14, the lawyer who defended Ms. Hu’s innocence went to the procuratorate to review the files and then met her at the detention center.

4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Six Practitioners Tried

Mr. Zhang Wansheng, Ms. Xue Liwei, Mr. Chen Weibo, Ms. Wang Yuhong, Mr. Lu Chaobo, and Ms. Dong Na from Lindian County were arrested by the Lindian County police on July 9, 2020.

They were tried at the Ranghulu District Court on the afternoon of December 15. The court intended to sentence them from three to eight years in prison, and results may come out in a day or two.

5. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Songtao Arrested

Mr. Li Songtao from Xinxing Town, Hebei Province, had just arrived at his workplace in Chaoyang District, Beijing, and was arrested by the police there.

Officers also went to his hometown to ransack his home and confiscated a printer among other personal belongings.

His father-in-law was frightened and died from illness. His mother had a relapse of her old illness and was hospitalized. She needs Mr. Li to return home to take care of her.

6. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners’ Original Verdicts Upheld

Mr. Zhao Genfa, Ms. Qiao Huarong, Ms. Huang Chunling, and Ms. Liu Honglan were sentenced to prison by the Rencheng District. Their terms ranged from three years to three years and three months to three and a half years, and each was fined 10,000 yuan.

All four practitioners said they had not broken any laws by practicing Falun Gong and appealed to the Jining City Intermediate Court. On December 15, the Intermediate Court turned down their appeals and upheld the original verdicts.

7. [Qixi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Yuqing Harassed

Personnel from the Tangjiapo Town government and the police station went to Mr. Li Yuqing’s home in August 2020. They took pictures of his home and pressured him to slander and break away from Dafa. Mr. Li refused to give in.

During the busy season of fruit growers in November, these people went to Mr. Li’s home to force him to renounce Falun Gong. At the same time, they also threatened and deceived many practitioners in the town.

8. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Yaozong Held in Detention Center

Mr. Li Yaozong from Xin’anzhuang Village, Liangzhao Town, Renqiu City, was arrested by village officials for distributing Falun Gong informational desk calendars on December 7, 2020. He is being held in the Renqiu City Detention Center. He has been on a hunger strike since day one. He is now very weak.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Several Practitioners Arrested

Starting from December 10, 2020, people from the Jianchangying Town government and the police station in Yuanbaoshan District, have harassed, arrested, and persecuted local Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale.

These people went to Mr. Yu Shulin’s home, but no one was at home at the time. A town official called his son and told him to tell his father to go to the brainwashing center. The official also said that if his father had written three statements, he would never be bothered again, and his name would have been removed from the government-compiled list.

These people went to Ms. Sun Jingzhi’s home, but she was not at home.

Mr. Jia Guanglin’s monthly income was deducted by the social security administration in July. A town official called his son and asked him to tell his father to go to the brainwashing center. Those people went to his home several times to harass him.

Ms. Meng Xiangzhi’s monthly income was also deducted.

Six or seven people, including village deputy director Deng Xinyang, went to Ms. Li Xiufang’s home on the afternoon of December 10, but she was not at home. Deng led people to her father’s home, where they dragged her into a car and took her to the brainwashing center.

10. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Fengxiang Harassed

Public security directors Zhang Weidong and Cui Cheng in Shuangli Village, Dagang Township, broke into Ms. Zhang Fengxiang’s home on December 6, 2020, but she was not at home.

At past 10 o’clock that evening, three people broke into her home, which upset and frightened the family and children.

11. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Yurong Harassed

Ms. Wang Yurong, 84, is from Kangqiao Residential Community, Zhoupu Town. During the Shanghai International Import Expo in early November 2020, when she went downstairs to go out, she was blocked by several unidentified people, and she was not allowed to leave home.

12. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Ximei Harassed

Officers from the Demao Police Station, Daxing District, broke into Ms. Zhao Ximei’s home and took out a search warrant to ransack her home around 9 a.m. on December 10, 2020. They confiscated 23 copies of Falun Dafa books, calendars, keepsakes, and over 50 copies of booklets.

The officers took her to the police station for interrogation. They took pictures of her, took her blood samples, measured her blood pressure, and sent her to the detention center at 11 p.m.

She was released because her blood pressure was over 200. It was one or two in the middle of the night when she got home.

13. [Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Several Practitioners Harassed

Recently, under the control of the Ningxia Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office, large-scale arrests, harassment, and persecution of Falun Gong practitioners occurred in various places.

The following Falun Gong practitioners are known to have been harassed:Ms. Shui Xuefang, Mr. Feng Yongjun, and Ms. Zhang Lixia from Yinchuan CityMr. Lu Yanchao and Ms. Mo Huining from Yongning CountyMr. You Haijun and practitioner gender unknown with the last name Pei from Zhongwei CityMr. Zhang Ming and Mr. Yang Xiutian from Shizuishan CityMs. Wang Ying and practitioner Mao Minhu (gender unknown) from Guyuan City

14. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhao Rongcai Taken Into Custody

Ms. Zhao Rongcai was arrested at the restaurant where she worked by officers from the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the 610 Office, and the Donghu Police Station in Pizhou City at 11 p.m. on December 14, 2020. She has not returned yet.

Since 1999, she has been arrested and sentenced several times, spent up to 10 years in prison, and endured excessive abuse.

15. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaozhe Harassed

People who claimed to be from the Hengshui City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and officer Lu Jianzhe from the Pengdu Police Station went to Ms. Zhang Xiaozhe’s shop at 3 p.m. on December 11, 2020. Ms. Zhang was not there, but her husband was in the shop. He refused to cooperate.

Officer Lu called Ms. Zhang’s family on the morning of December 16 and said, “Do not give us a hard time. Just make a videotape of her declaring that she will give up practicing Falun Dafa.” They went to the shop again around noon. Ms. Zhang was there. They left after she told them the facts about Falun Gong.

16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dai Yaoqi Harassed

Officers from the Gongnong Police Station in Jiutai District knocked on the door of Ms. Dai Yaoqi’s home at 2 p.m. on December 14, 2020. Ms. Dai was not at home. Her husband had limited mobility and did not open the door in time. After the officers opened the door, they saw that Ms. Dai was not home and said, “Tell her to go to the police station. If she doesn’t, we will come at night.”

17. [Tianjin] Ms. Gao Hui Harassed

Yuan Ruixue from the Baoping Police Station and people from the Baoping Residential Committee went to Ms. Gao Hui’s work unit on December 11, 2020. They took out a few printed sheets slandering Falun Gong and its founder and demanded her to sign. She refused. They then went to talk to the leader of the work unit and pressured the person to force Ms. Gao to resign.

18. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Tried

Judge Xue Qiang from the Ranghulu District Court did not notify the lawyers, and tried five practitioners via video on December 17, 2020.

Police officers from the Daqing City Domestic Security Division and the Longnan Police Department in Ranghulu District staked out and arrested ten Falun Gong practitioners across different areas on April 7 and April 8. 2020.

The ten practitioners are: Ms. Tang Zhuyin, Ms. Lang Baohua, Ms. Cai Xiuying, Ms. Li Yanqing, Ms. Ding Yan, Ms. Jiao Qihua, Ms. Zhao Lihua, Zhu Mingdi (gender unknown), Huo Xiaohui, and Mr. Li Lizhuang.

19. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Zhimei and Ms. Zhang Yun’s Pensions Deducted

At the end of July 2020, the Shenzhen Municipal Social Insurance Administration notified the local retired Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhimei and Ms. Zhang Yun to return pension payments that they received when they were imprisoned 13 years ago.

After intimidating the families several times, the families were afraid and handed in the money. In addition, deductions are being made from Ms. Zhang Yun’s monthly pension for the annual increase, which was dialed back to calculate from the time before she was imprisoned.

20. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Jinping and Husband Repeatedly Harassed

Four police officers brought a search warrant to Ms. Liu Jinping’s home on the morning of December 16, 2020. Ms. Liu was not at home. Her husband and her 95-year-old mother-in-law were there. They confiscated several Falun Dafa books and asked her husband if they had money. On their way out, they said that they might come back again.

Since September 2020, Ms. Liu’s husband has been harassed by phone on many occasions. Community members went to their home to videotape her and told her to sign for the “transformation” class, but she refused.

Earlier, officers from the Luyuan District Police Station and Jingyue Police Station also came to her home to harass them.

21. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Huiqiu’s Family Harassed

Officers from the Shuguanglu Police Station in Nanguan District called Ms. Hu Huiqiu’s family members on December 10, 2020. They asked her husband to go to the police station to sign paperwork for her.

22. [Beijing] Mr. Zhu Yunjiang’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Six or seven police officers from the Fengtai Police Station broke into Mr. Zhu Yunjiang’s home and ransacked the place around 9 p.m. on May 25, 2020. They confiscated a computer, a printer, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, and a cell phone. Mr. Zhu was taken to the police station, and then to the Fengtai Detention Center for interrogation and physical examination. He was detained for four days and returned home on bail.

Officers went to his home several day ago and said that his case had been turned over to the procuratorate.

23. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Lanying Harassed

A staff member of Longquan Village Committee, Dexin Town, Jingyang District, called 70-year-old Ms. Zhang Lanying and her non-practitioner daughter Ms. Huang Changju to the village committee on December 11, 2020.

Women’s affairs director Zhong Youlan and other village committee staff members pressured Ms. Zhang to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong. Zhong also said that higher authorities have instructed that practitioners had to sign the statements to receive agricultural insurance (100 yuan per month).

Ms. Zhang refused to sign the statements. They demanded her daughter to sign for her mother. In the end, her daughter signed the statements under pressure.

24. [Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province] Pensions of Mr. Yin Xunzhen and Wife Ms. Xu Shujie Suspended

Mr. Yin Xunzhen and his wife Ms. Xu Shujie from Fangzheng Forestry Bureau were each sentenced to four years in prison in April 2009.

In August 2020, the Social Security Bureau asked them to return their pension payments received during their sentences, and suspended their pensions in November.

The couple filed an administrative reconsideration with the county government and filed an administrative lawsuit with the Intermediate Court, and the intermediate court has accepted their filing of the case.

25. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Secretary Fan Chengyi of the Fengyingzi Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee and village committee member Wang Haiyong called Ms. Chen Yanqiu on December 14, 2020, and told her to go to the village committee. Ms. Chen was not at home, and did not go.

These people later ran into Mr. Li Tang and his wife Ms. Zuo Lihua on the road and told them to sign statements and took pictures of them, but Mr. Li refused. Mr. Li had been harassed several times in the past days.

After that, they went to Ms. Chen Fengxia’s home, told her to sign paperwork and took pictures of her, but she refused.

26. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Arrested

On the afternoon of December 11, the Hegang City Police Department dispatched all officers from various police stations to round up Falun Gong practitioners across the city, ransack their homes, and take them to the police stations.

Practitioners arrested included Ms. Li Baoxia, Mr. Zhang Yu, Mr. Peng Yansong, and Mr. Zhao Futian.

27. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Guo Hongliang Harassed

Two women knocked on the door of Mr. Guo Hongliang’s home on the afternoon of December 15, 2020, saying that they were from the community management office, and told him to sign paperwork. Mr. Guo refused. They said that if he did not sign, the police would come the next day, and he would be taken to a brainwashing center.

28. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Police Harassed Falun Gong Practitioners on a Large Scale

Officers from the Haocun Police Station in Fuxing District called and harassed practitioners and their families at 8 p.m. on December 2, 2020.

Ms. Zhang Fengying, Ms. Wang Yinfeng, Guo Haiye (gender unknown), Ms. Zhang Xinfan, Ms. Zhang Huanxin, and Hou Yunchao (gender unknown), among others, were harassed.

Officers went to the home of Guo Haiye and harassed Guo and family member on December 3. Officers called, harassed, and threatened family members of Ms. Wang Yinfeng, Ms. Zhang Huanxin and Ms. Zhang Xinfan.

Officers called and harassed the practitioners and their family members again on the afternoon of December 6.

29. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

During the epidemic lockdown period between March and April 2020, officers from the Xisaishan District Police Department ransacked Ms. Gao Hailian’s home and confiscated Falun Dafa books. Officers ransacked Ms. Luo’s home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a printer, and two computers.

During the same period, officers followed Ms. Li for a long time and arrested her. They took her to the hospital for physical examination and then to a detention center.

Three officers led by director of the Baquan Police Station in Xisaishan District went to Ms. Gui Fengxiang’s home and harassed her in mid-April. They went to her home again at 8 p.m. that evening, and asked her if she was still practicing Falun Gong.

Residential officer Lu Jianchu went to Ms. Gui’s workplace and harassed her on the afternoons of November 23 and November 24. Lu asked Ms. Gui to tell her mother Ms. Yu Juying to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong.

Residential officer Xu Jinwei led two community members to Ms. Gui’s home on the morning of November 26 and tricked her into signing the guarantee statements, but she refused.

Deputy chief Zhou Weiguo from the Xisaishan District Police Department and four officers broke into Ms. Wang Sumei’s home at around 9:30 a.m. on December 9. They confiscated dozens of Falun Dafa books, some Minghui Weekly, and DVDs. Ms. Wang was taken to the police department. During the interrogation at the department in the afternoon, she did not cooperate. She returned home at 5:40 p.m.

Deputy chief Zhou led four officers to break into Ms. Wang Xiangdi’s home and ransacked the place around 9:30 a.m. on December 9. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, one set of lectures on DVD given by the Falun Gong founder, and an MP3 player. They also questioned her husband if any Falun Gong practitioners had come. They asked him if his wife goes out every day. They took Ms. Wang to the police department. She returned home that afternoon.

30. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Yong and Wife Ms. Liu Jianqun Held in Custody

Mr. Zhou Yong and his wife Ms. Liu Jianqun from the Zhuankou Economic Development Zone were arrested on September 9, 2020.

So far, family members have not been allowed to meet with them, nor to mail or send in winter clothes. After being held secretly in the Jianghan District Brainwashing Center for 3 months, Mr. Zhou recently transferred to the Zhuankou Development Zone Brainwashing Center. Ms. Liu has been held in the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

Their two children in junior and senior high school are at a critical stage of their studies.

31. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Chunxian, 65, was arrested in June 2020 for distributing Falun Gong materials. It was reported that she was sentenced to a three-year-and-three-month prison term, and held in the Xinxiang Women’s Prison.

Ms. Wang Yulan was arrested in 2018. She was sentenced to a three-year-and-two-month prison term.

Ms. Li Xuemei, 72, was arrested by officers from the Jiaozuo City Domestic Security Division on July 23, 2019.

Ms. Ding Guiyuan, 83, was harassed at home several times for distributing Falun Gong materials. Her home was ransacked. The officials threatened to sentence her to prison.

32. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners Harassed

The Political and Legal Affairs Committees, police departments, sub-district administration offices, residential committees, township and village committees of various districts in Tianjin conducted a “zero-out” campaign against Falun Dafa practitioners recently.

They made phone calls to harass practitioners and pressured them to sign three statements renouncing Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhang, in her 60s, lives in the Tongxinlou Residential Community, Hongqiao District. Personnel from the Hongqiao District Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the local police station went to talk to her daughter twice, asked her to write the three statements for her mother, and promised to give her 300 yuan and find a job for her.

Mr. Li Wengang, in his 70s, from Jinxili Residential Community, Hongqiao District, returned home from the Binhai Prison at the end of his four years sentence in June 2019. He has been constantly harassed at home by personnel from the Tianjin City Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the sub-district Administration Office, and the Social Security Administration Office since returning home. His pension was suspended in December 2019. Around October 2020, people came to his door and asked, “Are you still practicing Falun Gong?” He refused to answer any questions.

Ms. Yang Xiuying, 75, lives in Tianmu Town, Beichen District. In early October, the local police ordered her relatives to show up at her home and ask her to sign paperwork.

Four officials, from the Rongli Sub-district Administration Office and the police station, and director of the Residential Committee went to Mr. Hua Lianyou’s home in Ruixiuyuan Residential Community, Beichen District, and harassed him on August 10. Since Mr. Hua’ release from prison in April 2019, whenever it was a Chinese Communist Party anniversary date, which the authorities considered sensitive to social stability, members of the police station or residential committee would come to his home to harass him.

Ms. Xing Dongmei, in her 50s, lives in Wangzhuang Village, Beicheng District. The police officers went to Ms. Xing’s home and harassed her, under the pretense of conducting a census.

Ms. Wu, from Hedong District, went to her daughter’s home on August 10 to help take care of her grandchild. Her daughter was harassed by phone and asked for Ms. Wu’s whereabouts. After Ms. Wu returned home, two members of the residential committee came to her home to take pictures.

Two people from the Dazhigu Police Station and residential committee went to Ms. Yan’s home in the Daqiaodao area, Hedong District, and told her to sign paperwork. She refused. Before leaving the officer threatened, “We will come again to arrest you.”

Ms. Wang, in her 50s, from Yuanxingxinli Residential Community, Hexi District, was pressured to sign paperwork. She refused.

Officials knocked on the door of 62-year-old Ms. Liu’s home in Pengcheng Residential Community, in Xiqing District, three times. She did not open the door. Later, the village committee called her again.

Police officers knocked on the door at 36-year-old Mr. Yu’s home in Yuntong Garden Residential Community, Xiqing District, and told him to sign paperwork. Mr. Yu’s wife, who is non-practitioner, sternly refused.

A police officer and a member from the village committee harassed 68-year-old Ms. Chen and told her to sign paperwork, but she refused.
