(Minghui.org) Several Falun Gong practitioners in Zunhua City, Hebei Province, were arrested between September and October 2021 and had their homes ransacked by the local police officers from the Domestic Security Division, police station, and armed police force. Some of their family members, who are not Falun Gong practitioners, were also arrested.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Wang Xiufeng of Jigezhuang Village was arrested at home on September 2 and taken to the Zunhua City Detention Center by the police. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books and a small music player were confiscated. She was released on September 12.
Mr. Zhu Hongwen from Nanxiaozhuang Village was also arrested at the same time and taken to the Zunhua City Detention Center. The officers confiscated his eight Falun Gong books, music players, and DVDs, and fined him 200 yuan.
Mr. Sui Jinming from Ganzhuangzi Village was arrested at home on the same day by over 20 police officers. His several cell phones were confiscated. Mr. Sui was released on September 15, after 15 days of detention.
Officers from the Bing’ancheng Town Police Station ransacked Ms. Gu Baohuan’s home on October 12, when she was not in. They confiscated over 10 Falun Gong books. The police also raided her beauty salon and confiscated three more books, her cell phone, and Falun Gong keepsakes. Ms. Gu was arrested and taken to the police station. Later her mother was taken to the police station. Both of them were released in the evening. However, the police went to her house again that night and took her away to an unknown location. She has since been released.
Ms. Li Guiyu of Wenzhuang Village was also arrested on the same day. She was released on October 19.
Ms. Zhang Min was arrested at home in Yingezhuang Village on October 14, by officers from the Xindianzi Town Police Station. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. Ms. Zhang has since been released.
Ms. Wang Xiufeng, 59, of Shijiakuo Village was arrested at home by officers from Zunhua Domestic Security Divison on October 15. Her printer, printing papers, Falun Gong books, and a large number of personal items were confiscated. Ms. Wang’s husband and son, who are not practitioners of Falun Gong, were also arrested. Her husband was released that night and her son was released the next day. On October 17, Ms. Wang was taken to Tangshan No. 1 Detention Center.
Mr. Jia Fengzhong of Zhaozhuangzi Village was arrested at home on the same day by officers from the Domestic Security Division and Jianming Police Station. His 200-300 yuan bills containing information about Falun Gong and some Falun Gong materials were confiscated. The neighbors witnessed the whole arrest process of Mr. Jia being pinned to the ground and stuffed into the police car. He was taken to the Jianming Police Station.
