(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhiwen and Ms. Wang Li Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Zhang Zhiwen, 73, and Ms. Wang Li, in her 50s, were arrested and taken to a detention center on June 20, 2021, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were arrested by Cheng Weifeng from the Huaiyang County Domestic Security Division and officers from the Zhuji Police Station.
Mr. Zhang and Ms. Wang were sentenced in October this year. Mr. Zhang was sentenced to two years in prison and Ms. Wang to one year. They were taken to Xinmi Prison in Zhengzhou City on October 31, 2021.
Mr. Zhang was previously sentenced to four years in prison in 2008 and was also held in Xinmi Prison.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Yuxia Held in Detention Center
Ms. Zhou Yuxia was arrested on October 12, 2021, and put in administrative detention, which was changed a week later to criminal detention. She is being held in the Changchun No.4 Detention Center.
3. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Guizhen Transferred to Changchun No.4 Detention Center
Ms. Yu Guizhen was arrested by officers from the Xixin Police Station and taken to the Weizigou Detention Center. After being held there for 15 days, she was transferred to the Changchun No. 4 Detention Center.
4. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhou Lichun Arrested
Ms. Zhou Lichun was recently arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Lianyungang Police Department. The police department authorities are preparing to send his case to the procuratorate.
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Rongjun and Her Daughter Arrested
Ms. Wang Rongjun, who is nearly 70, and her daughter Ms. Na Yan, in her 40s, were arrested and taken to the No.1 Detention Center in July 2021. Details are being investigated.
They were previously harassed by phone on April 22, 2021, by officers from the Nanshichang Police Station.
6. [Holingol City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Na Lihuan Arrested
Ms. Na Lihuan was arrested by officers from the Mositai Police Station when she was grocery shopping in a supermarket on November 1, 2021. She is being held in a detention center.
7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liqin Arrested
Ms. Hao Liqin was arrested on October 27, 2021, by Tan Jun, head of the Mutoudeng Town Police Station, and three other officers. She was taken to the Qinglong County Detention Center and is now being held in the Changli County Detention Center.
8. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Sun Shumei and Ms. Zhang Shuxia were arrested by Bianfang Police Station officers on September 10, 2021, for hanging up banners about Falun Gong. Ms. Sun’s home was then ransacked, and her personal belongs including her Falun Gong books were seized. Both practitioners were taken to a detention center. Ms. Sun told the officers and guards how she recovered from cancer by practicing Falun Gong. They listened to her and refused to admit her to the detention center. Ms. Sun was then released on bail. Ms. Zhang was admitted to the detention center and her arrest has been officially approved.
9. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yanying Harassed by Officers
On September 27, 2021, officers from the Yinan County Police Department tried to force Ms. Li Yanying to sign a paper promising not to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong. They also threatened her family.
10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhua on Hunger Strike
Ms. Zhang Yuhua, who is being held in the Jilin City Detention Center, is on a hunger strike.
11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Pan Jurong Harassed
An agent from the Chenghua District Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Zhang Hai, the Party secretary of the Peihua Neighborhood Committee, and two local officers including Zhang Haijun went to Ms. Pan Jurong’s home on October 27, 2021. When they asked her if she still practiced Falun Gong, Ms Pan said, “Yes!” They ordered her to sign a paper promising to stop practicing. Ms. Pan refused to comply. They seized a calendar with facts about Falun Gong written on it.
12. [Chenggu County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Junxiu Persecuted
Hanzhong City Police Department officers forced Ms. Zhang Junxiu’s neighbors out of their apartment. The neighbors lived across from Ms. Zhang. Several officers then moved into the neighbor’s apartment in August 2021 and monitored Ms. Zhang’s home around the clock until October 18, when Ms. Zhang left home to avoid being persecuted.
13. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Hua and Her Husband Mr. Zhao Guiyong Arrested
Ms. Li Hua and her husband Mr. Zhao Guiyong were arrested on October 28 or 29, 2021. They are being held in the Changliu Detention Center.
14. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Fangqing Harassed
Two officers from the Hanting Domestic Division went to Mr. Li Fangqing’s home around 7 o’clock on November 1, 2021, and harassed him. They seized over 20 small desk calendars with information about Falun Gong written on them.
15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Shihong Arrested
Ms. Li Shihong was arrested on October 30, 2021.
