(Minghui.org) During the Chinese Communist Party’s “zero-out campaign” (a concerted effort to force every practitioner on the government’s blacklists to renounce Falun Dafa), the authorities use all means to try to get practitioners to sign their names on paperwork. When practitioners refuse to renounce their faith, they turn to practitioners’ family members and demand that they sign on the practitioners' behalf.
One day in January 2021, the head of the local police station came to my home with another officer. The head said, “Sign on this statement [to renounce your belief in Falun Dafa]. We won’t come to bother you again as long as you sign this statement. Once you sign, we will remove your name from the blacklist and you can continue to practice at home.”
I was about to respond when he cut me off. I was not shaken and insisted with a smile, “No, it is my turn to speak.”
I said, “The title of Falun Dafa disciple is so sacred. I cannot remove this title from my name. I will not sign the statement to renounce my faith. It is a crime to force practitioners to renounce their faith, so I cannot sign for your sake.”
The head told me that he was not afraid of karmic retribution. I said, “Our Master teaches us to have no selfish thoughts and to consider others before ourselves. I cultivate by following Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I will not sign even if you don’t believe that carrying out this campaign is criminal act.”
He said, “If you don’t sign, we will come back in a month.”
I said, “You're welcome to come and chat. However, I won’t let you in if you come for this reason again.”
I continued to talk to them about Dafa for about half an hour. I walked them to the door, and they both left with smiles.
