1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

The Harbin City Police Department carried out a coordinated campaign and arrested Falun Gong practitioners on April 19, 2021.

Practitioners known to have been arrested:

Nangang District: Wang Chunyan, Hou Haichao, Linlin’s mother, Nian Jingsheng, Niu Nana, and Niu’s mother. Niu’s mother has been released due to accumulation of fluid in her lungs.

Xiangfang District: Ma Shuhua, and elderly Zeng. Elderly Zeng has been released due to high blood pressure.

All practitioners arrested are being held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Qian Gentai and Wife Ms. Zhang Xingji Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Qian Gentai and his wife Ms. Zhang Xingji, both of Korean ethnic minority from Erdao District, were arrested at the end of August 2019. They have been sentenced to two and a half years in prison and are being held in a detention center.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Jinglin’s Original Verdict Upheld

Ms. Wang Jinglin, a retired worker of Donghua Machinery Factory, was arrested at home on April 8, 2019. She was tried on August 26, 2020, and sentenced to four years in prison on October 23. She filed an appeal. It was reported that her original verdict was upheld during the second trial.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Taken into Custody

Mr. Zeng Xingyang, his wife Ms. Deng Fang, sister Ms. Zeng Yueling, and sister-in-law Ms. Deng Yu were arrested by officers from the Tianhe Police Department and the Shipai Police Station on April 9, 2021. They are being held in the Tianhe District Detention Center.

Currently, at least 12 Falun Gong practitioners are being held in the Tianhe District Detention Center. The Tianhe District Procuratorate is responsible for reviewing their arrest warrants.

Mr. Zeng’ mother is in her 70s. She was hospitalized for angina pectoris, and was recently discharged from hospital. His youngest son is only four years old. Mr. Zeng and his wife Ms. Deng were taken into custody at the same time. His elderly parents were unable to take care of his children.

5. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Threatened

Just a few days after Mr. Yang Xiaogang returned home from prison in May 2020, staff members of the Justice Agency in charge of the area called and harassed him. They called him to the Justice Agency and pressured him to sign guarantee statements to stop practicing Falun Gong.

One day in November 2020, a group of four people from the Justice Agency, the community management office, and the police station went to Mr. Yang’s home and pressured him to sign the guarantee of, “no assembly, no spreading of Falun Gong content.”

Residential officer Liu from the Qixing Police Station in Jiansanjiang Farm knocked on the door at Ms. Han Shujuan’s home on the afternoon of March 29, 2021. When no one answered the door, Liu went to Ms. Han’s son’s shop and found her there. Liu asked her if she still practiced Falun Gong. Liu also said that it would be alright as long as she did not go out to meet with other practitioners and did not distribute Falun Gong materials.

Residential officer Zhao Xinhua from the police station and other people went to Ms. Zhang Shouyun’s shop to harass her and to check upon her on the afternoon of March 29. Two residential officers also knocked on the door at Ms. Wei Yanchun’s home.

6. [Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Qingquan Arrested

Elderly Mr. Yang Qingquan was arrested at home by Donghongsheng, head of the Huachuan County Domestic Security Division, Gu Songhai, head of the 610 Office of Heilongjiang Province Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and others at noon on March 20, 2021.

The officers ransacked Mr. Yang’s home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, printed materials, a cell phone, and other personal belongings.

Mr. Yang was taken to the Huachuan County Police Department for interrogation. After the officers transcribed the interrogation, they took Mr. Yang to have physical examination. Mr. Yang’s blood pressure was as high as 200. The officers asked his children to fill out bail forms. Mr. Yang was released on bail at 6 p.m. that day.

7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Qi Ruifen and Zhang Qiaohui Arrested

Qi Ruifen (gender unknown) and Zhang Qiaohui (gender unknown) from Xiejiazhai Village, Fanzhuang Town, were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at the Dongbaishe Farmers Market on April 20, 2021. They were arrested by officers from the Nanbaishe Police Station, and then taken to the Fanzhuang Police Station. They were released that afternoon. Their electric tricycle was impounded at the Nanbaishe Police Station. Their family went to the police station to ask that it be returned, but the officers refused.

8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the No. 1 Section of Luanzhou Police Department and the Xincheng Police Station went to Ms. Lun Shumin’s home on the morning of March 30, 3021. Ms. Lun was not at home at the time. They went to her home again on April 12, and asked if she had an electric bicycle. That afternoon, they also went to the homes of Ms. Wang Cunqin, Mr. Yang Fengjiu, and Ms. He Ruxian. They wanted to photograph them and pressured them to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong.

9. [Tianjin] Ms. Gong Baoyun Taken to Detention Center

Ms. Gong Baoyun was taken to the Hedong Detention Center on April 26, 2021.

10. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Zhao Xiulan from Mian County was arrested by five or six officers at the door of her home and pushed into a white car. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Han Shuyun Arrested

Nine officers from the Lutai Police Station and two residential committee staff members in the Ninghe District broke into Ms. Han’s home on January 13, 2020, and arrested her on the grounds that “someone reported her to the police.” They ransacked her home. The officers checked her medical case files at the district hospital. The next day Ms. Han was released on medical parole.

In December 2020, the Zhennan Police Station called and harassed Ms. Han several times. They told her to bring 3,600 yuan in cash and to be accompanied by a family member to the Tianjin Armed Police Hospital they designated for physical examination.

Two officers from the police station came to Ms. Han’s home on the morning of February 5, 2021. They told her to bring 2,900 yuan in cash to the police station, and then they would take her to the hospital for a physical examination.

On February 8, 2021, just days before the Chinese New Year’s Day (February 12), the officers went to Ms. Han’s home again and forced her to go to the hospital for a physical examination. Her husband was sick and could not take care of himself. Ms. Han refused not to go and instead she clarified the truth to them.

12. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Lian Huijun, an official of the Kangjin Town Government in Hulan District, accompanied by officers from the Kangjin Town Police Station, village Party secretary Si Guozhu, village committee member Zhang Wei, and others, went to Ms. Zhu Hongfeng’s home on April 22, 2021. Ms. Zhu was not at home at the time. Zhang jumped over the wall to break in. They took a few Falun Dafa books.

Later, they went to her home twice and harassed her. Last fall, they went to her home and took away photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun diagrams, and a few Falun Dafa books.

They also harassed Mr. Xu Xiaoshan and his wife at home on April 22. At that time, the couple’s non-practitioner daughter-in-law was also at home. She told these people that her mother-in-law did not get sick after practicing Falun Gong and stayed healthy. They refused to listen. When they harassed Mr. Xu’s family last fall, they took away Falun Dafa books.

On April 22, these people also harassed practitioner Yu Haibo. Later, they went to Yu’s home twice. When they harassed Yu last fall, they confiscated Falun Dafa books.

13. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Tian Yuping, Ms. Li Xuerong, and Ms. Li Aifang were arrested at home by officers from the Binbei Police Department on April 24, 2021. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Dafa books, keepsakes, and printed materials. Ms. Li Xuerong and Ms. Li Aifang developed illness symptoms and were released promptly. Ms. Tian was taken to the police department for interrogation. The officers took her blood samples, fingerprints, and DNA samples. They also photographed her.

After sitting on a cold bench overnight, she was released the following day.

14. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhao Xianliu Harassed

Starting from April 22, 2021, Mr. Zhao Xianliu from Songjiang District was followed by two police assistants sent by Li Zhi from the Sijing Police Station.

During the day, they monitored Mr. Zhao in the duty room at the entrance of the community. Once Mr. Zhao went to work, police assistant Jiang would follow him on an electric bicycle. From April 22 to 25, Jiang followed Mr. Zhao to his workplace every day. The surveillance would be called off at night.

Since Mr. Zhao was arrested in April 2019, this was the tenth time he was harassed by officers from the police station.

15. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhu Guangbao Harassed

Recently, several Falun Gong practitioners in Xiahuayuan District were harassed by people from police stations, the Civil Affairs Bureau, and community management offices.

These people went to Mr. Zhu Guangbao’s home and photographed him on April 26, 2021. Mr. Zhu and his family asked these people for their names, cell phone numbers, and asked them to show badges issued by their employers, or other IDs. These people refused to give out such info, and turned to leave.

16. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Taken into Custody

Liu Huanyu, head of the Suizhong County Domestic Security Division, and others went to Ms. Gao Hua’s home on April 25, 2021 and arrested her and her sister Ms. Gao Ying. Chen Wenyan (gender unknown) and Wang Yandong (gender unknown), who were visiting at the time, were also arrested. The officers confiscated a computer, a printer, and printed materials at Ms. Gao’s home.

Chen was later released. Ms. Gao Hua was held in the Huludao Detention Center, Ms. Gao Ying was held in the Huludao Lockup Center, and Wang was taken to the Suizhong Detention Center.

17. [Chongqing] He Jinxiu Arrested

He Jinxiu (gender unknown), 64, from Sanjiang, Qijiang District, was arrested at home on April 21, 2021. He was seen on video surveillance cameras while posting self-adhesive stickers with information about Falun Gong. He’s current whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Elderly Ms. Liu Guangzhen Displaced; Family Harassed

Ms. Liu Guangzhen, 72, has been held in forced labor camps, detained, and taken to brainwashing centers on numerous occasions for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and not giving up her belief. Her husband died in 2004 after an extended period of mental stress. She lives in Wuchang with her daughter.

Since May 2020, Ms. Liu has been repeatedly harassed by officials from the Zhongnan Community Management Office, police station and district 610 Office. Each time, she refused to write guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong. To avoid further harassment, she was forced to leave home in November 2020 and has not been able to return home.

Since the beginning of 2021, the officials have repeatedly been to the home of Ms. Liu’s daughter to intimidate and threaten her as part of the “zero-out” campaign. They asked Ms. Liu’s daughter to help locate her mother for “transformation.” As a result, Ms. Liu’s daughter and grandchildren have constantly lived in fear.

19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Shuling and Son Mr. Zhang Jian Arrested

Over 10 people from the Erdao District Police Department, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the Dongsheng Road Police Station, and the community management office broke into Mr. Zhan Jian’s home on April 15, 2021, and arrested him and his mother Ms. Zhu Shuling. They ransacked the place. Mr. Zhang was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center for 15 days of detention. Ms. Zhu was released on bail after 10 p.m. that night. Mr. Zhang’s older brother was also questioned whether he practiced Falun Gong and was pressured to sign paperwork.

20. [Shuangcheng County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Lei Minggong’s Home Ransacked

Seven people from the Handian Town Police Station went Mr. Lei Minggong’s home in Erdaogang Village at around 7 p.m. on April 17, 2021. The gate to his yard was locked. From outside the gate, the officers asked if he was still practiced Falun Gong. He answered yes. After that, he went into the house and turned off the lights. These people jumped over the wall, knocked on the window, and kicked the door. After entering the house, they tried to take Mr. Lei's computer, but took an audio player instead.

21. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Dalian Bay Border Police Station harassed Falun Gong practitioners from April 23 to April 25.

Some officers photographed practitioners, others pressured practitioners to sign paperwork, and some harassed practitioners over the phone.

Practitioners who have been harassed include: Yin Jinzhi, Du Yunhong, Xu Guifen, Li Chenying, Liu Xingge, Sha Weina, Sha Hongzhen, Wan Lin, Pan Shimin, and Li Jingyuan.

22. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Liu Changqing Arrested

Liu Changqing (gender unknown) was arrested at home by officers including Wang Wanfa from the Longgang Domestic Security Division on April 22, 2021, for distributing Falun Gong materials. They confiscated a computer, a printer, printer paper, and over 500 booklets.

23. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Liu Dengkui and Kaihong Arrested

Liu Dengkui (gender unknown) and Kaihong (gender unknown) were recently arrested.

24. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gong Xiaoli Harassed

Xu, director of the Limin Community Management Office, and Du Xiufeng, a member of the Justice Agency stationed in the community in the Jiutai District went to the Fenghuangcheng Postal Savings Bank to harass Ms. Gong Xiaoli on April 26, 2021. They tried to “transform” her and pressured her to write “five statements” renouncing Falun Gong. Around that time, members of the community management office harassed her over the phone several times. They also called officials in her work unit several times.

25. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Feng Jiwu Held in Brainwashing Center

Mr. Feng Jiwu was taken from the Fanjiatai Prison by Zhou Zhong, who was from the Justice Agency of Qinduankou Sub-district Administration Office. After much inquiry, Mr. Feng’s family found him in the closed-off brainwashing center operated by the Justice Agency located in the old steel market in Hanyang District.

26. [Gong’an County, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Chen Yang, political head of the Jiazhuyuan Town Police Station, Wang Haidong, a staff member of the community management office, and others went to the homes of Mr. Zhang Guoliang and his wife Ma Jinrong, Mr. Ma Zhaobin and his wife Ms. Chen Xiuyu, Mr. Chen Xiaolou and his wife Ms. Zhu Guozhen, Huang Xugang (gender unknown), and Ms. Li Xuemei in mid-to-late March 2021. They photographed the practitioners and confiscated some printed materials from Ms. Li’s home.

Four officers from the police station went to Mr. Zhang’s home and took pictures.

27. [Beijing] Ms. Zhou Jing Harassed

Ms. Zhou Jing from Dongcheng District was again harassed by Liu Jun, a residential police officer, on April 25, 2021. Liu also tried to take notes when questioning her. Plainclothes security guards have been stationed outside her house 24-hours a day, and they have been monitoring her for about a month.

28. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Zhihua Arrested

Mr. Xu Zhihua was arrested in Juliangtun Town on April 25, 2021. He was placed in criminal detention and is being held in the Yi County Detention Center.

29. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xie Rongchun and Wife Ms. Xu Lina Held in Detention Center

Mr. Xie Rongchun and his wife Ms. Xu Lina were arrested by officers from the Balipu Police Station, Erdao District, on April 20, 2021. They are being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

30. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Shuqiong Arrested; Ms. Hao Xiaofang Harassed

Ms. Huang Shuqiong from Yingchun Village, Junle Town, was arrested by village head Wang Wangang, Yang Xiaodong, member of 610 Office, and others around 6 a.m. on April 19, 2021. Ms. Huang was taken to the Pengzhou City Brainwashing Center. She returned home at 5 p.m. that afternoon.

Two people from the Longfeng Sub-district Administration Office led by Bian Zhengliang went to Ms. Hao Xiaofang’s home in Juntun Village on April 15. They threatened Ms. Hao with her children’s future and pressured her to sign paperwork.

31. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Bao Jige Harassed

Officers from the Beixiangyi Township Police Station and the Party secretary of Dingzhuang Village broke into Mr. Bao Jige’s home on April 25, 2021. They tore off the couplets on the door and snatched the lanterns. They forcibly photographed him and tried to confiscate photos of the founder of Falun Gong, but failed.

They then broke into the home of Mr. Bao’s 70-year-old mother, and confiscated two copies of Zhuan Falun, calendars, and tapes of lectures given by the Falun Gong founder. They threatened Mr. Bao’s family.

Afterwards, they went to the homes of other practitioners, harassed them, and tore off the couplets on the doors.

32. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Zuo, 88, was arrested and her home was ransacked on April 23, 2021. She has returned home.

Ms. Dang, 87, Ms. Li Hui, in her 60s, Ms. Qiao Xingxia, and Dali (gender unknown) were also harassed.

33. [Wenling City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xu Jinxia’s Children Arrested as Hostages

Officers from the Wenjiao Town Police Station took Ms. Xu Jinxia’s daughter and son to the police station as hostages on the evening of April 23, 2021. They wanted Ms. Xu to go to the police station in exchange for the release of her children. They wanted to seal off her house and demolish the place. They pressured her family day and night, and her parents and other family members lived in constant fear.

Ms. Xu’s husband cooperated with the police and pressured her to sign paperwork. Ms. Xu left home in November 2020 and became displaced. Her children are being held in the police station.

34. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Laidi Missing

Ms. Chen Laidi’s family and friends have lost contact with her for four months. Her whereabouts are unknown.

35. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Li Arrested

Ms. Li Li and three other clerks for business development from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, were on a business trip to Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. On the morning of March 5, 2021 they were taken into custody at the Suzhou North Railway Station by the police. No reason was given.

At the Railway Station Police Station, the officers body searched Ms. Li and rummaged through her baggage. They also searched Ms. Li’s three colleagues the same way. Officers then interrogated them about their purpose of coming to Suzhou, their contact person, itinerary, hotels they stayed in, and the places they visited. The officers took notes while questioning them.

Later, two people, who appeared to be of higher ranks, came to interrogate them thoroughly, and used Ms. Li’s cell phone to call their business partners to check whether what they said was true.

In the end, officials deleted the Falun Gong exercise music and recordings of Master’s lectures in the MP3 and tablet that Ms. Li carried with her. They also confiscated several paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them. Ms. Li and her colleagues were then released.

As a result, the four people missed the train they were to board, and it cost them over 400 yuan to change to the next train heading back to Shijiazhuang City.

36. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Chengguan Police Station went to Gu Huichun’s home in the morning and then in the afternoon on April 25, 2021, to harass Gu. The person only gave his last name Sun. Sun said that he was there to complete his “zero-out” assignment. He made up things and otherwise coaxed Gu’s family.

Officers from the Changning Town Police Station went to Ms. Li Fengying’s home in Wenzhuang Village and harassed her on April 16. They asked if she had photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Li did not cooperate and drove them away.

Before that, they harassed Ms. Yan Shaoqin in Xiazhuang Village. Ms. Yan’s family did not cooperate with them.
