(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners peacefully sat in front of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Vancouver on July 18, 2021, to commemorate those who have lost their lives during the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. They called on people everywhere to awaken to the current situation and to help end the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China.

Mr. Sun, who recently came from China to visit relatives in Vancouver, said that he has practiced Falun Dafa for more than 20 years. He said that it has benefitted him spiritually and physically. He has not needed to take any medications or see a doctor for two decades.
He said that all the media outlets in China slander Falun Dafa and tell lies to sustain the persecution. He advised people everywhere to see through the deception.
Mr. Sun said he has been reported to the police and arrested many times for talking to people in China about Falun Dafa.
Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an advanced cultivation practice of the Buddha School. It was founded by Mr. Li Hongzhi and is based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the highest characteristic of the universe. Since its public introduction in Changchun, China, on May 13, 1992, the practice has spread to more than 100 countries and regions around the world, and hundreds of millions of people have practiced and benefited from it both physically and mentally.
On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party launched a nationwide campaign to eradicate Falun Dafa, arresting practitioners and torturing them. Practitioners all over the world have been exposing and resisting the persecution by telling people the facts about Falun Dafa for 22 years.
More than 4,677 practitioners have been persecuted to death according to statistics gathered by the Minghui website since July 20, 1999. However, the true number of people killed by the persecution is thought to be much higher.
Vancouver Falun Dafa Association spokesperson Ms. Zhang Su called on people to stop the persecution and bring the perpetrators to justice.
