(Minghui.org) There have been many sharing articles discussing whether to get vaccinated. I would like to share some of my thoughts.

Worldwide Pandemic a Part of Celestial Phenomena

First of all, the emergence and development of the CCP virus (the coronavirus named after the Chinese Communist Party) pandemic is no longer a problem of any particular region or a country, but something concerning the entire world. The fact that a serious worldwide plague could take place indicates that it is part of the celestial phenomena.

Master made it clear to us:

“But a pandemic like the current Chinese Communist Virus (or “Wuhan Virus”) comes with a purpose behind it, and it has targets. It is here to weed out members of the Party and those who have sided with it.”

“Pandemics and plagues are part of a divine plan and inevitable in the course of history. When people become immoral they generate karma, become sick, and experience disastrous things. In such circumstances, people who do not believe in the divine then resort to various “measures” [or “cuo-shi” in Chinese] to try to deal with things. But the fact that “cuo-shi” is a homophone for another term in Chinese, which means “mistaken approach,” is telling.” (“Stay Rational”)

In this sense, the vaccine is also a kind of “measure” and probably a kind of “mistaken approach.” With so much still yet to be understood about the vaccine, such as how effectively it protects a person from the virus, how long the protection lasts, whether there are any negative effects, and whether it will cause vaccinated people to suffer more severe infection due to antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) effect, I do wonder whether the massive vaccination requirement is also part of the celestial phenomena and whether it has anything to do with the divine’s arrangement in eliminating the Chinese Communist Party.

Focus Our Energy on Clarifying the Truth and Saving People

From studying the Fa, I understand that we shouldn’t be too concerned with ordinary people’s affairs or be affected by them. After all, the society and the universe have been corrupted to this point. With many people no longer having faith in the divine anymore, it’s hard for them to look for the causes within themselves or to improve their morality to solve the fundamental problem. What they rely on is so-called science and vaccination. For them, vaccination is perfectly normal to protect themselves from the virus and control the pandemic.

With many countries pushing for vaccine mandates, at least we can see that it’s a widely acceptable concept to people, although it should be a personal choice rather than mandatory. For most people, it might be difficult for them to associate “forced vaccination” with “persecution.” So personally, I think this is not something that we Dafa disciples need to spend energy to change.

When we resist the vaccine, we are in fact fighting against the trend in the whole society. Some people in particular believe that it is easier for the unvaccinated to get infected and in turn infect others. If people can’t understand why we don’t take the vaccine ourselves or persuade them not to take the vaccine, they may have misunderstandings of us, making it harder for us to clarify the facts about Dafa in the future.

Even if we do manage to persuade someone not to take the vaccine, they might still face other dangerous situations if they don’t understand the facts about Dafa or quit the Chinese Communist Party. But if they do understand the most important facts or quit the Party, then the pandemic has nothing to do with them and they are saved fundamentally, whether they take the vaccine or not.

Balance Well the Relationship Between Cultivation and the Secular World

On the issue of whether we should take the vaccine, from the perspective of our personal cultivation, we definitely don’t need to take it. For people who don’t work, they don’t face pressure from their employers. But for those who face vaccine mandates at work, I understand that there is no xinxing issue involved if they are forced to take it. If we cultivate in a time of war and are conscripted into an army, then should we fight in the battles, given the possibility that we might kill or injure someone in the battle?

Of course, there are also everyday people who are against the vaccine, so resisting the vaccine mandate is not entirely meaningless. At least people are taking actions against government overreach. But for us, I think we shouldn’t spend too much energy on resisting the vaccine, but instead focus on our mission and carry out Dafa disciples’ duties.

This is my personal understanding. Please point out any shortcomings.
