(Minghui.org) There was a catastrophic flood in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, on July 20, 2021. I was stranded in the deep water, unable to move. It was Master Li who saved me from being swept away by the flood that day. This is what happened.
It started to rain that morning. My granddaughter was scheduled to be discharged from the hospital at around 2:00 in the afternoon. By the time my daughter and I left the hospital with my granddaughter, it was raining cats and dogs, and our feet were already covered in water. When we arrived at the bus stop less than 10 minutes later, the water had quickly reached above our calves. Buses, cars, and motorcycles were all stuck in the water and could not move.
We decided to walk home instead, as the winds and rain gained more strength, and the roads all turned into rivers.
After treading in deep water for more than an hour but making only one-tenth of the way, I realized that it was impossible for me to walk home in that situation, so I changed my route and began to walk towards my parents’ house which was closer to me.
The floodwater quickly rose to over one meter high, and I was almost swept away several times since I could not stand on my feet anymore. In addition, the gusty gale chilled my entire body and bones, and I had difficulty moving.
Raindrops mixed with my tears flew down my cheeks and blinded my eyes. I asked myself: what should I do? At that moment, the song “Falun Dafa is Good” sounded in my head, and I began to chant loudly, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
As I chanted, my body gradually warmed up, my feet became steady, and I was able to quicken my pace.
At that moment, a woman in her 50s grabbed my arm and said, “Help me, don’t let me fall into the water.” I then held her tightly, pulled her to a shallow place and she was safe.
I know that my strength came from Dafa. It was Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, who had protected and saved our lives!
