(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Chunmei Arrested
2. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tao Taken to a Brainwashing Center
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Yulian Arrested and Detained
4. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Shuhua’s Family Harassed
5. [Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yang Mei'e Detained
6. [Huangchuan County, Henan Province] Mr. Si Desong Arrested
7. [Yunmeng County, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Jintao Arrested
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou and His Wife Ms. Yang Arrested
9. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yue Dezhi Arrested and Detained
1. [Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Chunmei Arrested
Ms. Jiang Chunmei was arrested in February 2023. Her family hired a lawyer and planned to apply for bail pending trial for her.
2. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tao Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Tao, over 80, was taken to a brainwashing center in the Jianhua District on March 23, 2023. Twelve people surrounded her and tried to “brainwash” her [pressure her to stop practicing Falun Gong]. She was released on March 25, 2023.
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Yulian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Song Yulian from Shengli Town in Bin County was arrested on March 3, 2023. An NTDTV antenna was confiscated from her home. She was released on March 24, 2023.
4. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Shuhua’s Family Harassed
Ms. Zhao Shuhua died in April or May 2022, but her family was harassed at home by three officers from the Mohudian Police Station on the morning of March 10, 2023. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. The family members were taken to the police station for interrogation.
5. [Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yang Mei’e Detained
Ms. Yang Mei’e was detained for 15 days in the Sanyuan County Detention Center and was released on March 25, 2023.
6. [Huangchuan County, Henan Province] Mr. Si Desong Arrested
Elderly Mr. Si Desong from Huangchuan County was arrested in Changsha City by officers from Huangchuan County, Henan Province.
7. [Yunmeng County, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Jintao Arrested
Mr. Zhang Jintao was intercepted when he was passing a security checkpoint at the railway station on March 7, 2022. His home was ransacked. Officers from the East Station Police Station confiscated several Falun Gong books, wall posters, and cards. Mr. Zhang was detained overnight at the police station and released on bail pending trial the next day. His ID card and cell phone were confiscated.
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou and His Wife Ms. Yang Arrested
Mr. Zhou and his wife Ms. Yang were arrested in their rental apartment on June 16, 2022. Their apartment and their home in Wuhan City were ransacked. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, two laptops, cell phones, and media players. The two elderly practitioners were taken to the Dongting Police Station. They were released on bail pending trial the next day. The couple has been harassed since then.
9. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yue Dezhi Arrested and Detained
Mr. Yue Dezhi was arrested and taken to the police department by Guo Bingjiang, head of the Yanbian Domestic Security Division, on March 19, 2023. He was detained in the Helong City Detention Center and was released on March 26, 2023.
