(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Jiang Xiuying was arrested by officers from the No.1 Police Station on December 30, 2020 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was placed under 10-day detention which was not executed. She was arrested and released on bail pending trial on July 15, 2022. Her case was submitted to the Hailin Procuratorate on May 30, 2023. She was informed a month later that she would be tried in court soon.
Ms. Zhou Yongmei from Daduan Village will be tried in the Dong’a County Court on July 13, 2023.
Li Xihong, 77, was arrested when he or she distributed information about Falun Gong in Nong’an Town on the evening of July 7, 2023. The police ransacked Li’s home and confiscated Li's Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong's founder.
Ms. Wang Ying was sentenced to four years in prison by the Yucheng City Court on June 28, 2023.
Her son Mr. Li Long was arrested when he attended his mother’s hearing. He is now detained in the Dezhou Detention Center.
A female practitioner in her 50's has a vendor stand and sells vegetables in the Hongqi Market. She was arrested around July 6, 2023 for talking to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Cheng Laihua was arrested and taken to the Jiaotong Police Station in Yuehu District for distributing truth clarifying CDs near a train station on July 8, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She is currently held in the Yingtan City Detention Center.
Ms. Di Lianxia was arrested on July 6, 2023.
Li Chunlin was taken a police station on July 8, 2023 for talking to people about Falun Gong and has been detained.
Ms. Cang Fengying from the Shuangcheng District was reported to police for talking to a few teenagers about Falun Gong and giving out some CDs and flyers near her home. Officers from the Zhanqian Police Station came and searched her home. But they didn’t find the truth clarifying materials. They videotaped her before they left.
Mr. Wang Baolin was arrested at his home on July 1, 2023. His home was ransacked. He was harassed at home by police several days before he was arrested.
Ms. Fu Yanping was arrested. The details are unknown.
Ms. Li Xiaoyan was arrested at home by several officers from the Yingzhong Police Station at noon on May 5, 2023. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and lecture DVDs. Ms. Li was detained for 15 days.
Ms. Zhang Xiaofei from Wukeshu Town was harassed at home by police on July 7, 2023. The police confiscated a Falun Gong book. They returned the next morning and photographed Ms. Zhang. They pressured her to sign something. She refused.
Four practitioners from Longfengyuan Community in Gaoling District were harassed at home by officers from the Majiawan Police Station on April 25, 2023. They are Ms. Zhang Fang, Ms. Wang Xiuqin, and Ms. Chen Jufang.
Ms. Zhang Fang was harassed at home by six people from the Longfengyuan Community Office on May 18, 2023.
Four practitioners from Jingxinyuan Community in Jingwei Town of Gaoling District were harassed at home by town government officers on May 11 and May 14, 2023. They are Ms. Xue Yingying, Wang Yongduo, Zhang Huixia, and Ms. Zhao Guifang.
Ms. Tu Baozhen from Huangpu District took a train to Guangzhou City to attend her nephew’s birthday party and was checked by railway guards when she almost arrived at her destination on April 7, 2023. The guards searched her bags and found a media player and USB drives. She was interrogated for three hours and detained overnight. The next morning, her home was ransacked by police. Her clothing which had the words, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance printed on them, were confiscated.
Five police officers went to her home two months later in June 2023 and attempted to enter her home. Her family stopped them.
