(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of September 24, 2004, practitioner Ms. Sun Xianxin was arrested in Kunming City, Yunnan Province for distributing factual information about Falun Gong. Ms. Sun continuously spoke out to clarify the truth to the police and the public while being to taken to the police station and during her stay there. At noon, a police officer reminded her, "Grandma, it is noon. It's time for you to do the exercises." Ms. Sun sent forth righteous thoughts immediately to eliminate the evils in other dimensions and offer salvation to people, including the police officers.
That same afternoon Ms. Sun's family members noticed she was missing. Her husband, sister, daughter, niece and grandson went to the police station requesting her immediate release. They questioned the police, "What authority do you have to arrest her? This arrest is not based on any legal precedent. You did not follow any legal procedures! The arrest is illegal! You should release her immediately!"
At first a police officer was very rude to Ms. Sun's family members. The family in turn pointed out that his behavior violated police regulations and demanded that he apologize, otherwise they would sue him. The police officer apologized.
On the morning of September 25, Xishan District's Security Division heads Li Rui and Xu Zhengrong, along with several police officers, searched Ms. Sun's home. They confiscated 13 audiotapes of lectures by Falun Dafa's founder and two exercise music tapes. Later they sent Ms. Sun to the Xishan District Police Department Security Division and interrogated her. Ms. Sun continuously sent forth righteous thoughts and refused to cooperate with any of their requests, such as signing a statement or taking fingerprints. The police imprisoned her at the Xishan District Detention Center. Ms. Sun patiently explained to the police how great Falun Dafa is, relating her personal experiences, and also the truth about practitioners' suffering during the persecution.
In the detention center, Ms. Sun refused to cooperate with any of the guard's requests. She refused to wear a prisoner's uniform, recite prison regulations or be photographed (part of the procedure for new prisoners). Rather, she clarified the truth about Falun Gong to everyone she saw. In the meantime, Ms. Sun's family members constantly visited the police department. Her daughter told them, "You arrested my mother without a valid reason. This has made my mother's high blood pressure recur from which she had recovered. If anything happens to her, you will all be held responsible!"
The guard at the detention center ordered Ms. Sun to recite prison regulations, but she refused. By punishing the other prisoners for her refusal to comply, the police forced her cellmates to threaten her. Her cellmates said, "We will all suffer if you don't recite them. None of us will be allowed to eat or go to bed." Ms. Sun clarified the truth to her inmates and said, "I practice Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. I did not violate any law! I am not a criminal! Why do I have to recite the prison regulations and wear a prisoner's uniform? What they are doing is illegal! Don't be afraid! They won't dare carry out these threats."
When the police interrogated Ms. Sun, they ordered her to wear a prisoner's uniform, but she refused. All prisoners must hold their heads in their arms when coming out of the cell, but she refused to do this. When the guards ordered her to walk along a red line on the floor, she refused. One day a prosecutor came to inspect the detention center. All of the criminals lowered their heads in accordance with the standard procedure, but only Ms. Sun raised her head as high as she could. She refused to cooperate with any of the persecutor's requests. Not knowing how to deal with her, the police released Ms. Sun four days later.
Ms. Sun said, "Master told us 'If you can let go of life and death, you're a God; if you can't let go of life and death, you're a human.'(Lectures in the United States, March 23,1997) When I truly let go of life and death, I felt that my body was empty; the only thing I was thinking was how to clarify the truth and offer salvation to people. When I truly melted into the Fa, Master gave me the wisdom to eliminate evils and deny the evil persecution."
