(Clearwisdom.net) (Correspondent from Liaoning Province) On September 9, 2009, Ms. Liu Guiyan was arrested and detained in the Benxi City Caitun Detention Center, where she was beaten and tortured by police and inmates.
At 9 a.m. on September 9, officer Xing Zhongdi from the Benxi City Heigou Township Police Station and Wang Chenggan, Wang Qi, and Li Jing from Huanren County went to Ms. Liu's home, confiscated her Dafa books and picture of Teacher, took her by force, and put her in the Benxi City Caitun Detention Center.
Ms. Liu refused to wear the prison uniform or answer roll call at the detention center. A guard surnamed Qi (female, 40 years old) slapped her on the face countless times and stomped on her left arm, bruising it severely. Qi also instigated inmate Li Ming to beat her. Li twisted her arm behind her back and then stomped on it. Ms. Liu is still not able to lift her arms due to the extreme pain. She was also forced to drink water and then deprived the use of a toilet. Li Ming then stomped on Ms. Liu's stomach, claiming that she wanted to burst her bladder. Qi attempted to torture Ms. Liu by placing her on a board to stretch her limbs, but Ms. Liu was spared this because Ming lacked a shackle.
At 10 p.m. on September 17, Ms. Liu was rushed to the Benxi City Cishan Hospital because of symtoms of a heart attack and elevated blood pressure. A medical exam showed that she had a myocardial infarction and blood pressure of 210. Upon reviewing her condition, the police notified her family to pick her up. Ms. Liu suffered from extreme body aches, a bad cough, excruciating back and chest pain, high fever, and extreme fatigue.
Ms. Liu used to suffer from various illnesses, but after she began practicing Falun Dafa, her health was restored. Because she refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa, she had been arrested five times, served a forced labor term twice, detained once, and held in a brainwashing center once. Even with all of this, the most recent persecution was the worst.
