(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, 30 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Anyang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Yane and Other Falun Gong Practitioners Are on a Hunger Strike at the Detention Center
Four Falun Gong practitioners from Anyang City, who were arrested before October 1, 2009, have been on a hunger strike to protest the abuse at the detention center. They are Ms. Shi Yane, Ms. Wu Qingchai, Ms. Liu Fenglan and Ms. Luo. Ms. Shi Yane and Ms. Liu Fenglan had previously suffered greatly due to the persecution. They had had to stay away from home for years and just returned home last year. Ms. Wu Qingchai has been unlawfully sentenced to three years in jail. Ms. Liu Fenglan has been illegally detained before.

2. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Jingyu is Still Held at the Detention Center
Nine Falun Gong practitioners in Yingcheng City, Hubei Province were arrested around September 12, 2009. Eight of them were released on October 10. However, Ms. Zhang Jingyu is still held at the detention center.
Since July 20, 1999, Ms. Zhang Jingyu has been arrested 17 times and suffered various forms of abuse including having her home searched, blackmail, being discharged from her job, illegal detentions, brainwashing tactics, forced labor, and being tormented both physically and mentally.

3. [Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jiang Yongqin from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University Arrested
Ms. Jiang Yongqin is a teacher at the Experimental Teaching Center of the Mechanism Foundation, in Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. She was arrested and detained at a women's prison on September 26, 2009. Her home was searched and some property including a desktop PC, a laptop and a cell phone were taken away. Some truth-clarifying materials were found at her home. Jiang Yongqin has a four-year-old daughter and her parents-in-law, who live with her, are frail and elderly and in poor health.

5. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhang Yongli Arrested at Home
About ten officers from the Beishankou Police Station, Zhengzhou Police Department, broke into Mr. Zhang Yongli's home in Xihe Village at 8:00 p.m. on September 9, 2009. More than ten items of personal property were stolen. Zhang was unlawfully arrested and currently his whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Two Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Du and Ms. Zheng from Xunchang Town, Yibin City were arrested at Ms. Du's home on September 30. Ms. Du's home was searched. It is said that they are held at the detention center.
7. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Fuzeng Transferred to Liaoyang City Detention Center
On September 29, 2009, led by Zhang Qicheng, police officers from the Public Security Bureau, Dengta City Police Department, broke into Mr. Sun Fuzeng's home. They arrested Mr. Sun Fuzheng and his wife. About 10 days later, they were transferred to the Liaoyang City Detention Center and are still detained there.

9. [Shen County, Shandong Province] Mr. Xue Cunlin Sent to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp Again
Mr. Xue Cunlin, over 50 years old, is from Hexia Village in Dawangzai Township of Shen County. Because the CCP continues to unlawfully persecute practitioners, he had been subjected to forced labor three times, totaling six years. In June of this year, after his third forced labor term ended, instead of being released, he was taken back to the Shen County Detention Center. Since he refused to give up his belief, he was sent back to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for the fourth time.

11. [Boye County, Hebei Province] The Situation of Arrested Falun Gong Practitioners
Ms. Dai Xiaojun, Ms. Dai Yanying, Ms. Dai Junyan, Ms. Guo Shuhua, Ms. Meng Kuanying, and Ms. Xian Xiuzhen were sent to the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Dai Shuna and Ms. Zhai Linya were detained at Li County Detention Center
12. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fan Xiurong and Ms. Fan Gongjun Arrested
Ms. Fan Xiurong and Ms. Fan Gongjun were arrested on August 16, 2009, while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials at the flea market in Changqing District, Jinan City. They are currently detained at the Changqing District Detention Center.
Their home was searched on August 18 and their PC and Dafa books were taken away. Liu Gang from Jinan City Police Department and Zhang Hulin from Qidu Police Department of Zibo City were involved in the search.

13. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Wang Zhihua Transferred to Anyang City on October 3, 2009
On September 30, 2009, under the pretense of returning Wang Zhihua's PCs, which were taken away during the search conducted on September 24, police from the Linzhou Public Security Bureau lured Wang Zhihua to the police department and then arrested him. They conducted another search at Wang's home and his store. After interrogating him for three days, they transferred Wang Zhihua to Anyang City on October 3.

14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jianhua Held at Fengrun District Detention Center
Around 8:40 a.m. on October 9, 2009, five Falun Gong practitioners were arrested at the Rengezhuang flea market, in the Fengrun District of Tangshan City. Four of them have been released. Mr. Liu Jianhua from Rengezhuang is still held at the Fengrun District Detention Center.
15. [Ling County, Shandong Province] The Situation of Ms. Liu Huilan and Ms. Dou Linfang
Ms. Liu Huilan was arrested at the Dezhou Canal Administration Department on September 17, 2009 and sent to the Dezhou Detention Center. Police required her family members to sign a guarantee statement and tried to blackmail them for 30,000 yuan.
Ms. Dou Linfang was arrested on the same day. Police also tried to blackmail her family members.

16. [Chongqing] Han Xianping Held at Beibei Detention Center
Han Xianping, around 50 years old, works at the Beipei District Appliance Factory. On the evening of September 14, 2009, he was arrested at home by officers from the local police station and personnel from the 610 Office. He is currently held at the Beibei Detention Center.

17. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Junfeng Held in Tailai Prison
Mr. Wang Junfeng, who was illegally sentenced to eleven years, has been held for over six years. He is currently held in the No.3 Team, No.7 Division at the Tailai Prison. At around 9:00 a.m. on October 4, 2009, he was seen doing the Falun Gong exercises and was subsequently grossly abused.
18. [Mengyi County, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Shubao Sent to Forced Labor for over One Month
Mr. Song Shubao is from Daigu Town, Mengyin County. He has been sent to Zhangqiu Forced Labor Camp for more than a month.
Song Shubao was first arrested on July 21. He was detained for six days and was illegally fined more than 200 yuan. At the end of August or early September, he was arrested again. In 2004, he was subjected to forced labor.
19. [Tianjing] Practitioner Surnamed Lu Unlawfully Arrested
On October 3, when Mr. Lu from Dongli District was posting truth-clarifying stickers, officers from the Zhang Guizhuang Police Station arrested him. Mr. Lu is currently held at the Dongli District Detention Center.
20. [Ezhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Huiqin Arrested
Ms. Wang Huiqin was unlawfully arrested around October 3, 2009. She is currently held at the Detention Center of Ezhou City.
21. [Gu'an County, Hebei Province] Mr. Chen Mulin and Other Practitioners Harassed
On September 26, 2009, Shi Qingshan, head of the Mage Township Police Station of Gu'an County, went to Mr. Chen Mulin's home at Manan Village to harass him.
On September 28, 2009, police from Xiong County of Baoding City went to Mr. Chen Chen's home. They broke the lock, entered the room and hid inside. A new lock was placed on the door and it was sealed. When Chen Chen and three other family members came home, the police tried to arrest them; however, they managed to escape.
On October 8, Ms. Zhang Yan from Bazhou was arrested by plain-clothes police officers.

22. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Xiuying and Mr. Jin Bowen Detained at Dabei Prison
Ms. Wei Xiuying from Jincheng Town, Linghai City was sent to Dabei Prison, Liaoning Province one month ago, before her final appeal date even came up, and without her family being notified.

Ms. Lu Huimin was arrested on the evening of October 3, 2009 by plain-clothes police officers, when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials. She is currently held at Dongli Detention Center.

Ms. Xu Yanxiang from Xingzi County was arrested on the afternoon of September 9, 2009, while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Her home was searched. She is currently held at Jiujiang Detention Center.

Mr. Zheng Yuhe, 83, was arrested on the afternoon of October 11 while distributing truth-clarifying materials.

28. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Junfeng Suffered Brutal Torture in Tailai Prison
Mr. Wang Junfeng from Harbin has been detained at the Seventh Ward, Tailai Prison. He was confined in a solitary compartment after he was found to be carrying Falun Gong materials. He has been brutally tortured there for more than six days. Mr. Wang Junfeng was unlawfully sentenced to 11 years in jail and has been detained for more than six years.

Ms. Zhou Dongdong from Lixia District was arrested yesterday afternoon at a practitioner's home located at Yaojia Residential Compound. Police from Yaojia Police Station also arrested two other practitioners.

33. [Guizhou Province] The Situation of Falun Gong Practitioners
Ms. Xiao Jieping from Zunyi City was reported to police in August 2009 while distributing truth-clarifying materials and was unlawfully arrested. Police from Zunyi City raided her home. Many Falun Gong practitioners as well as her relatives were being followed and watched.
Mr. Peng Zhonggui (more than 60 years old), Ms. Chen Yuexian and some others were arrested on September 24, 2009. Their homes were raided. Personal property and cash were removed from their homes. Their bank accounts were frozen. Many practitioners have been forced to leave home to avoid persecution.
