(Clearwisdom.net) I have no special abilities and I don't undertake any Fa-validation projects. In addition, I don't speak English, which makes things even more difficult in this new environment of the US. However I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and I should do the things that Dafa disciples are supposed to do. Therefore I made up my mind that all of the things related to validating the Fa are my things and I will do whatever needs to be done. I try my best to distribute fliers and newspapers, write articles, interview people, sell advertisements, and promote Shen Yun Performing Arts. I believe that even though I have no extraordinary capabilities and can't handle big things, I nonetheless would like to play a supporting role and quietly help fellow practitioners in following Teacher's requirements.
Teacher said,
“When you go to clarify the truth, only when your mind has stored up ample Fa will you be able to save people. That is when your words will have the power to move them.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference”)
I understand that whatever I do, I am clarifying the truth. During this process, I must truly understand the Fa that Teacher has taught us. To me the process of clarifying the truth is a process of cultivating yourself as well as a process of maintaining righteous thoughts and actions. We must have the most righteous and pure heart to be able to save sentient beings.
Every time I clarify the truth, I eliminate any impure thoughts, and have thoughts of saving sentient beings. When I see that so many sentient beings haven't been saved, I become very anxious. Therefore each time I clarify the truth, I watch peoples' expressions and find just the right opportunity to chat with them, then give them the truth-clarifying materials, or talk about the Epoch Times and Shen Yun Performing Arts. This has already became a habit.
I truly understand that it is Teacher who strengthens me when he sees my pure heart for saving sentient beings, not that I have great capabilities. Teacher taught us,
“I have the most original elements that form the existence of the universe, but I am not within them. I am the source that forms all wisdoms of the universe, yet I want nothing.” (“Teaching the Fa at the International Experience-Sharing Conference in Beijing”)
Teacher is the source of the wisdom of the universe. Without Teacher and the Fa, I am nothing and cannot do anything, so every time I clarify the truth, I ask Teacher to strengthen me and then I send forth righteous thoughts to save people. It often goes smoothly and I have persuaded many people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) within just three to five minutes.
One time I clarified the truth to a young man by saying, “It looks like you have a predestined relationship with Buddha. You might become one of our Falun Dafa practitioners in the future.” He said, “Last year some of your practitioners told me that I had a predestined relationship with Buddha.” I told him, “Did you withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations?” He said, “I haven't.” I said, “Have you ever joined the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers?” He said, “I did not withdraw from the CCP or Youth League yet.” I said, “So you are a CCP member? That is not so good. Please withdraw from the CCP as soon as possible. What is your last name?” He said it was Wang. I told him, “I can give you the name Wang Yong. Please let me help you to withdraw from the CCP.” He said, “My name was given to me by my parents and I can't change it. My name is Wang Wei. Please use my real name to withdraw from the CCP for me!” I was very happy for him and said, “You are truly worthy of your name. You are great! You will have good fortune.” We then exchanged some kind words and said goodbye to each other. The practitioners from China must have clarified the truth to him before. Based on their efforts, I helped persuade him to withdraw from the CCP. All of my successes were helped by fellow practitioners paving the way with true dedication.
During my truth-clarifying efforts I met all kinds of people. I once gave a flyer to a man around 40 years old. He looked at it and immediately threw it back at me and said, “You are out of your mind.” The people around him immediately laughed. I quietly picked up the truth-clarifying flyer from the ground and told the group of tourists, “Who is our mother? Our country is our mother. The CCP is absolutely not! We are descendants of the Chinese, not the descendants of Marx and Lenin. The five thousands years of traditional and righteous culture that our ancestors left us flows in our blood. We have inherited the humanity, justice, rituals, wisdom, and faith, which are the basic principles of being a human. The CCP stands for evil Marxism. What it does is fake, evil, and violent. The Chinese have an old saying, 'See who laughs last.'”
After I clarified the truth, many people in the group changed their attitude. Two people reached out to me and asked for the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I also gave truth-clarifying materials to the others who also started to take them. The person who scolded me left the group quietly. I kept on passing the truth-clarifying materials around. After I circled around, I saw the group of tourists go inside to look at the Liberty Bell. The person who scolded me was also inside so I walked up to him while saying, “Hear all sides of the story to learn the truth. Open your mind and look around. This country is not a dictatorship controlled by the CCP. It is not easy to come to this free land of America. Let us truly enjoy the rights of democracy and freedom. Let us be truly free people.” I then looked at him and said peacefully, “You know what? I was not mad at you at all after what you said to me, because you are innocent. You are the same as me. We are all being persecuted by the CCP. The CCP persecuted me and did not allow me to be a good person and believe in “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” Then the CCP used big lies to deceive and poison us.” The person looked at me with sorrow and smiled and nodded at me. I returned the smile to him. I believe he will take the truth-clarifying materials later. I sent forth righteous thoughts toward him that he will be saved soon. Then Teacher's words came to my mind,
“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in spring
Righteous thoughts can save the people in this world”

Recently, when the Shen Yun Performing Arts show was coming to my city, every practitioner tried their best to do the three things well. I cannot be left behind so I always carried my backpack with all kinds of truth-clarifying materials inside. When I clarified the truth, I adapted myself according to different people and different environments. I often went to the Liberty Bell to distribute truth-clarifying fliers and helped persuade people to quit the CCP. I then went to Chinatown and other places where we have connections to promote Shen Yun Performing Arts. I mainly went to the arts organizations and schools. I tried to find the people from higher cultural levels, and people in mainstream society to promote Shen Yun to.
I fully understand that the process of clarifying the truth is also the process of cultivating oneself. During this process, we eliminate our human notions, let go of selfishness, expand our minds, and cultivate our compassion. This is a process of improving ourselves and our levels of cultivation. By clarifying the truth, I deeply experienced Teacher's boundless benevolence and his strengthening of Dafa disciples. On my way back home from clarifying the truth, I often feel that my body is light and full of energy.
In fact, I still have big gaps in doing the three things well compared with other practitioners, especially the practitioners who are working on Dafa-related projects and those who coordinate Dafa-related work. They all work very hard. I also admire the practitioners who quietly cooperate with other practitioners and contribute their efforts.
I can still recall the day recently when it snowed very heavily. A practitioner called me and discussed how to promote the Shen Yun Performing Arts at the market the next day. I was very moved. I wrote a poem that night and I would like to dedicate it to fellow practitioners for the Chinese New Year.
Busy Saving Sentient Beings in the Cold
Sky white-out, ground frozen
In this world, where sentient beings go
To wake the lost beings, we clarify the truth
Lotus spreads its fragrant scent
Compassionate Dafa disciples, busy saving sentient beings
Cold wind only refreshes our minds
With righteous thoughts, early morning we walk on snow
Return home, singing and laughing at the wind and cold
