(Clearwisdom.net) I was a cadre of a work unit at the end of 1995, when I started cultivating Falun Dafa. I have been under Master’s mercy and protection ever since. I was illegally detained, sent to a brainwashing center, and put under surveillance by the Chinese communist regime. I truly understand that one must be diligent and fearless, and have compassion at every moment and everywhere to save people who have been poisoned by the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The CCP has ordered all work units to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give up their practice; otherwise, the head of the work unit is punished or even fired. Because of this, work units have used all sorts of methods to persecute Dafa practitioners.
My work unit had my wife keep track of my movements, which she had to report to the CCP. At first, I didn’t know about this. Someone was always following me wherever I went, but I thought that they had some advanced technology to keep track of where I was. I still went out to distribute flyers.
One time, I convinced another person living in our neighborhood to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. When his wife found out, she reported me to the authorities. At the time, a person could get a large amount of money for reporting on a Falun Dafa practitioner. I didn’t know that someone had reported me. My managers told my wife to come to my workplace to assess the situation, and then I realized that I had been reported. The managers always approached my wife first instead of me, and it dawned on me what was happening. I realized that she was keeping me under surveillance. When I confronted her about it, she did not deny it.
I believed that I was responsible for clarifying the truth about Dafa to my wife. Therefore, I still kept a compassionate heart and did not make our conflict worse. She also changed a lot thereafter. After I helped her write a solemn declaration to respect Dafa, she agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. After that, I read some of Teacher’s articles and stories from Minghui Weekly to her, and she listened attentively.
My environment at home is now much better. My wife is no longer against my studying the Fa and practicing the exercises; she is also not against my clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to others.
No matter how difficult things are, I always remember our duty to validate the Fa and save sentient beings. Whenever I have the opportunity, I tell people about the wonders of Dafa and advise them to withdraw from the CCP and to be good people. Whether people listen or not, I always keep a compassionate heart and look inward to find my problems, without blaming others.

Before we learned about Dafa, we were controlled by emotion and sentimentality. After we started cultivating in Dafa, our compassion emerged, and we have come to see that all sentient beings are suffering. We need to be compassionate to everyone, regardless of whether or not we like the person. We even need to treat with compassion those who may have mistreated us before. As Dafa practitioners, we must cultivate compassion; it will help us become more effective in saving sentient beings, eliminating the evil interference, and sending forth righteous thoughts.
