(Cleariwisdom.net) I live in London, the United Kingdom. I am 33 years old and I want to tell everyone about the miracle and the compassionate care that Master Li Hongzhi has performed for my family. I want to express our gratitude to Master. I hope that more people can see, hear, and feel the almightiness of Master Li Hongzhi and Falun Dafa.
My son suffered from a high fever and diminished mobility in his legs when he was only 13 months old. He lost his walking and crawling abilities within a week, and did not have control over urination or bowel movement as other babies do at his age. In December 2010 we brought him to a hospital. The MRI results showed that his cauda equina (a bundle of spinal nerve roots that arise from the bottom end of the spinal cord) was wrapped in an unknown substance. The doctor suspected that there was a tumor and urged us to decide whether to seek further treatment. My son's condition was devastating to our family.
My in-laws are Falun Gong practitioners. They suggested that we recite the phrases “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” when we encounter difficult situations that are out of our control. I started saying the words in my head. Then I felt as if there was a mysterious power supporting me and sweeping away my desperation. I began to believe that my son would be alright. Now I know it was Master Li who gave me the strength and the feeling of hope.
Upon examining the sample from my son's cauda equina, the doctor found that his problem was not caused by a tumor. Therefore, it was clarified that my son was not at risk of dying; however, it was highly uncertain if he could regain his mobility. The infection in his spinal cord had affected his cauda equina, which could result in paralysis. The chief surgeon was very experienced, but he told us that my son's case was rare and he and his colleagues were unsure about the curability of the disease. The only thing they could do was to remove two vertebrae to reduce the pressure to my son's spine and treat him with antibiotics to suppress the infection.
My husband is a physician and he started searching for relevant information on the Internet. He found out that some doctors in the largest children's hospital in Shanghai had cured patients of similar diseases, so he flew to Shanghai to consult those doctors. Nevertheless, he was told that the situation of my son was not optimistic. They predicted that my son had a slim chance to stand and walk, but no chance of controlling his bladder or bowels.
As for me, I placed all my trust and hope in Falun Dafa once I had learned that my son did not have a tumor. I believed strongly that Master would help me. I began to read Zhuan Falun and listen to Master' audio lectures. I told myself not to think too much about my son's disease but instead to focus on Falun Dafa's teachings. Since I was with my son all the time in the hospital, he heard the recordings of Master's lectures every time I played them for myself. Remarkably, he started recovering in a short time.
After the doctor had removed my son's catheter, he taught me how to help him urinate with disposable catheters. However, my son did not need them because he was able to urinate by himself! The doctor checked my son multiple times because he could not believe it. This was an irrefutable miracle!
Then my son was able have bowel movements himself, too. He regained his crawling ability, then standing, and finally walking. His progress of recovery was amazingly fast. It was merely one month between his operation and full recovery.
Generally speaking, even a healthy person would not be able to regain walking ability so soon after having had two vertebrae removed. The recovery process of nerves is usually gradual and slow; sometimes the patient cannot recover at all. But Falun Dafa and Master enabled my baby boy to recover within a month!
While writing this story, I have tears and smiles of gratitude. I now understand that Dafa can correct all deviations. I truly hope that more and more people can learn about Falun Dafa, follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and witness the almightiness of divine power!
