The Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition along with a music performance were held during the event. Local leaders including Mr. Liu Hong-wen, head of Meishan Township, Mr. Chian Tu-shui and Mr. Wu Zeng-ze, chairman and vice chairman of Meishan Township Villager Association, Mr. Wu Rong-hui, secretary-general of Chiayi County Government, members of city and county councils, and other organizations presented flowers in appreciation of Falun Dafa's spread in Taiwan.

Mr. Liu Hong-wen, head of Meishan Township appreciates Falun Gong for helping his wife to become healthy. He said excitedly, "My wife used to go to hospital once every one or two months. After practicing Falun Gong, she has no need to see a doctor. This is what I witnessed."
Professor Ai Chang-rui from National Chung Cheng University said, "In appreciation of Master Li's introduction of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to us, Falun Gong practitioners in 2000 decided to designate May 13 as World Falun Dafa Day."

Students in Meishan Primary School wish Master happy birthday after viewing the art exhibition
Many students of Meishan Primary School viewed the paintings. After listening to explanations from the tour guide, they were shocked at the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Chiu Chuan-fu of Meishan said after carefully viewing the paintings, "We know of the CCP's persecution of human rights. I feel sorrow after viewing the paintings. Falun Gong is a practice teaching people to be kind. It should be respected. Why is it persecuted?"
One practitioner said, "We celebrate World Falun Dafa Day today and hope more people will learn about Falun Gong, benefit from it, and uplift morality. We hope more people will learn about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and condemn the CCP's violence."

In addition to the painting exhibition, practitioners demonstrated Falun Gong exercises, and had a choral performance. Young practitioners recited Master's "Grand Poem." Some young practitioners performed in a string quartet, clarinet trio, and trumpet duet to express their gratitude to Master.
