(Clearwisdom.net) On July 27, 2011, officials from the Gongyi City Domestic Security Division and the Beishankou Town Police Station gave Ms. Zhang Xinzhi and Ms. Yang Xiuying each a one-year forced labor term.
Three practitioners from Gongyi City, including Mr. Wang Wenchang, Ms. Zhang Xinzhi, and Ms. Yang Xiuying, were arrested on the evening of July 19, 2011 as they were distributing information about Falun Gong. Officers from the Beishankou Town Police Station made the arrest. The police threw Mr. Wang down on the ground and held him, beating him ferociously. They subsequently interrogated him with torture at the police station.
The next day, police officers took all three practitioners to a detention center where they were held for two weeks.
On July 25, officials from the Domestic Security Division and the Beishankou Town Police Station read the notice to Mr. Wang, that he would be subjected to a two-year forced labor term. But during a physical examination, Mr. Wang was diagnosed with blood pressure as high as 220, and his life was in danger. The police didn't want to take responsibility for his possible death, and told his family to take him home from the hospital. Mr. Wang was frequently harassed at home by local police, and had to live away from home to avoid further persecution.
Ms. Zhang and Ms. Yang were each assigned one year of forced labor, and are currently in the Gongyi City Detention Center.
