(Minghui.org) Deyang Prison in Sichuan Province used prisoners to monitor and persecute Falun Gong practitioners 24 hours a day. The prison made use of three types of prisoners: ruthless thugs from gangs; former soldiers, who beat people; and drug addicts, who would do anything for a tiny bit of self interest.
In 2004, Wu Keming was imprisoned in Deyang Prison for intent to harm. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison. He was sent to the forced labor camp four times and is notorious in Jintang County. The prison police in the Second Prison District chose him to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners.
The police from the Second Prison District locked practitioner Mr. Yang Bin in a small room on the second floor and covered the windows with newspaper so that no one could see what was going on inside. Then they ordered prisoners Wu Keming and Song Wenchao to brutally torture Mr. Yang for a month. They did not allow him to sleep, used tape to cover his mouth and beat him, played speakers at high volume in front of him, and did not allow him to use the restroom.
Wu Keming likewise tortured practitioners Gong Guanlei, Li Fuquan, Hu Kaiguo, Wang Guohua, and Deng Weijian. Li Fuquan was beaten so badly that some ribs were broken. Hu Kaiguo's face and hands were injured by prisoners Wu Keming and Yang Yang. Two of Wang Guohua's teeth were knocked out during Wu Keming's brutal force-feeding. Wu Keming did not even spare the practitioner who was his neighbor. Wu Keming became favored for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, and he was not required to do the prison morning exercises or to answer roll call.
Wu Keming also publicly announced that officer Cui Weigang had told him to beat the practitioners. He said that the officer told him, “If you beat the practitioners to death, you can just say they committed suicide by jumping out of the building.” Wu Keming also incited Yang Shuangquan and other prisoners to torture practitioners. He told them that they would not be held responsible if they tortured the practitioners to death.
Since Wu Keming committed so many crimes against Falun Gong practitioners, many practitioners brought charges against him. The prison had to replace him. Later Wu Keming was detained at the Sixth Prison District. He drank and fought with others in the Sixth District, but the police did not stop him for fear of revenge after he was released.
In February 2007, Deyang Prison warden Liu Yuanhang started the large-scale persecution of Falun Gong practitioners again. Prisoner Wu Keming talked to officer Cui Wei, who was transferred to the sixth district, and asked to persecute Falun Gong practitioners again. In the Sixth Prison District, he brutally tortured practitioners Liao Yuanfu and Zhang Zhigang. The prison awarded him with a sentence reduction three times—in 2007, 2008 and 2009—with the total term reduction of five years and seven months.
Deyang Prison has now transferred all Falun Gong practitioners to Aba Prison due to prison expansion. Prisoner Wu Keming was also transferred to Aba Prison and he continues to act as a thug to persecute Falun Gong practitioners there.
