(Minghui.org) I recently noticed a counter-productive notion commonly held by practitioners who produce Falun Gong informational materials. One such practitioner said, “The basic facts about the staged self-immolation and the appeal in April 1999 have been distributed for a long time. Now we need to clarify the truth about other incidents. Repeating the facts about early incidents is a little outdated and not necessary.”
I wish to share some of my understandings about this:
1. Teacher told us to look to Minghui for guidance on important issues early on in Fa rectification. Minghui always has core content that never changes, including the facts about pivotal aspects of the persecution of Falun Gong, such as the staged self-immolation. Day after day Minghui highlights these facts for its readers. Doesn't this give us a hint?
2. During face-to-face truth clarification, I have found that many people are still deceived by propaganda such as the self-immolation and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) slander that practitioners attacked the central government on April 25, 1999. Other veteran practitioners have encountered the same or similar problems. I think explaining the basic facts about the persecution of Falun Gong is still very important in saving people.
3. With the Fa rectification progressing, the world is changing fast, and the same methods may now produce different results. We have distributed materials with the basic facts of the persecution for many years and on a large scale. Why are so many people still are not aware of the persecution? This is because the evil in other dimensions was so rampant in earlier years and controlled people's thinking.
Now things have changed. People who were controlled before are now receptive. However, we have slacked off in our efforts in basic outreach and are not reaching many of those whose minds have been freed.
4. Do truth-clarification materials expire? Probably not. If people are still deceived by lies such the staged self-immolation, which the basic materials address, and think Falun Gong is evil and political, they will turn a deaf ear to information about other aspects of the persecution.
The CCP constantly cooks up new lies to slander Falun Gong. There is no lie too outrageous for the CCP. If we do not address the basic facts, many people will not be able to overcome their prejudice against Falun Gong. They will continue to think things like: “You are involved in politics,” “You did something wrong,” “It is impossible that such horrible things are happening.”
We must continue to explain the basic facts of Falun Gong—we must not avoid doing so.
