(Minghui.org) According to a Falun Gong practitioner who was recently released, Shandong Women's Prison tortures practitioners with drugs and forces them to make brand name products, such as H&M and ABC children's clothes.
Given Unknown Drugs
In Shandong Women's Prison, practitioners are injected with unknown drugs. After a period of time, most of them appear drowsy, sluggish, and depressed.
According to an inmate in the No. 2 prison district, there was an English teacher in her 30s from Northeast China that was injected with an unknown drug in 2008 and became bedridden.
Slave Labor
Shandong Women's Prison has been processing garments for years. The Huamei Company in Jinan, Shandong Province, is one of the businesses that sends orders to the prison. Most of the business comes from Qingdao. Huamei Company also has connections with other prisons in different provinces. They process name brand clothing, such as H&M and ABC children's clothes. Huge numbers of garments have been processed in prisons over the last ten years. There are typically 10,000 pieces in each order. Vice warden Zhao Hongyan verified that the prison brought in 38.5 million yuan from processing garments in 2012.
Falun Gong Practitioners' Situation in the Prison
Ms. Zhang Baohuan from Leizhou, Shandong Province, was transferred to the No. 11 prison district in September 2013. Her family has been unable to visit her for a long time. The prison makes it very difficult for families to visit and only allows three people per visit, 20 minutes per month.
A practitioner in the No. 2 prison district was beaten by four to five inmates because she did the Falun Gong exercises at night. Those inmates were instigated and supported by the guards.
The following practitioners are being held in the No. 3 prison district: Ms. Teng Derong (from Linyi), Ms. Liu Guangxia (from Linyi), Ms. Guo Jianying (from Weifang), Ms. Zhao Suhong, and Ms. Han Lianfeng (from Shouguang).
