(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Shucheng Passed Away Due to Persecution
Mr. Liu Shucheng is a retired teacher of Social Science at Jiamusi University. Wang Yuchen and Zhang Yi from the Security Section of Jiamusi University arrested Mr. Liu for putting up “Falun Dafa Is Good” posters on November 19, 2000.
Mr. Liu was held at a detention center for 33 days. He was handcuffed and shackled. He was then taken to a forced labor camp for a term of two years. Mr. Liu was released after his family had 5500 yuan extorted from them. The authorities repeatedly went to his home to harass and threaten him. He had high blood pressure and suffered from many illnesses, which made his life difficult. Mr. Liu passed away at the age of 77 in July 2012.
2. [Songyuan, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yue and Her Husband Arrested
Ms. Wang Yue and her husband Sun Peng were arrested in their shop at the High-Level Science and Technology Mall on December 21, 2013.
3. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fu Liang Arrested
Mr. Fu Liang was followed by plainclothes officers when he spoke to people about Falun Gong at Lishan Park in December 2013. The police followed him home, arrested him, and ransacked his home. They took a computer, Falun Gong books, and pictures of Falun Gong founder Mr. Li Honghzhi.
Mr. Fu was taken to the Shenbei Police Station in Anshan and then transferred to the Anshan Detention Center. The detention center refused to take him due to his high blood pressure. The Shenbei Police Station ordered Mr. Fu report to the police station each day after he was released. Mr. Fu has been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.
4. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Guiqin Detained
Ms. Liu Guiqin from the Lishui District in Nanjing was arrested by the domestic security officers when she clarified the factsabout Falun Gong on December 19, 2013. The police ransacked her home. She is being held at the Baima Brainwashing Center.
5. [Xi'an, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Qin Arrested
Officers from the Ziwu Town Police Station arrested Ms. Li Qin from Xi'an Jiaotong University and another practitioner on December 20, 2013. Ms. Li was taken to the Xi'an No. 2 Detention Center while the other practitioner managed to escape.

6. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Wu Rongxia Detained
Ms. Wu Rongxia, 60, from Henan Province was taken to the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center after being held in the Wuhan Women's Prison on Baofeng Road for four years.
7. [Tonghua, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Min Arrested
Ms. Jin Min was arrested by the Jilin police on December 18, 2013. She had attempted to rescue her two elder sisters who were being held in the Jilin Detention Center. She is being held in Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua.

8. [Langfang, Hebei Province] Ms. Chang Fengzhen Arrested
Ms. Chang Fengzhen from Yanjiao Developing District, Sanhe, Langfang, was arrested by officers from the Xicheng District Police Station when she spoke to people about Falun Gong on February 21, 2013.
9. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian and Ms. Li Arrested
Ms. Tian and Ms. Li were arrested on December 2, 2013. They both live on North Jianhua Avenue in Shijiazhuang. The police ransacked their homes. Their whereabouts are unknown.
10. [Kunshan, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xie Guiling Arrested
Ms. Xie Guiling was arrested by officers from the Chengzhong Police Station for distributing copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party on December 18, 2013. The police ransacked her home. She is being held in a detention center.
11. [Zouping County, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Benhui Detained
Officers from the Zouping Domestic Security Division and the Jiaoqiao Town Police Station arrested Ms. Qu Benhui from Jiaoqiao Town on December 16, 2013. The police ransacked her home. She is being held at the Zouping Detention Center.

12. [Kaifeng, Henan Province] Mr. Pang Liang Arrested
Mr. Pang Liang was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Kaifeng Police Department and the Nanyuan Police Station in Nanjiao, Kaifeng, when he went out on November 18, 2013. The police ransacked his home and took his computer, Falun Gong materials, and 1800 yuan. Mr. Pang's whereabouts is unknown.
13. [Heze, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Jingsong and Ms. Ji Suying Taken to Ji'nan Prison
Mr. Zhu Jingsong and Ms. Ji Suying from Heze City were arrested by officers from the Heze 610 Office and the Heze Police Department on July 5, 2012. The Heze Developing District Court sentenced Mr. Zhu to three years of imprisonment and Ms. Ji to four years in 2013.
The two practitioners were taken to the Ji'nan Prison on November 12, 2013.
14. [Shihezi, Xinjiang] Mr. Liu Tao Arrested
Mr. Liu Tao was arrested on December 12, 2013. His whereabouts is unknown.
15. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Yuying Detained
Ms. Huang Yuying is a teacher at the Changchun Institute of Architecture and Engineering. She was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Jingyue Branch of the Changchun Police Department on December 20, 2013. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun.
