(Minghui.org) I moved to Los Angeles four years ago, and have been doing face-to-face truth clarification to Chinese tourists at Los Angeles International Airport for more than two years.
After attending Master's Fa Teaching at the 2013 Western U.S. Fa Conference, I realized that we should seriously step up our efforts in exposing the persecution of Falun Gong to Chinese tourists. The persecution facts are inaccessible back in China, so exposing them will allow these Chinese citizens to see the true nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
We also encourage them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations to ensure that they don't meet with karmic retribution when the Fa rectification period ends. The CCP and all its members will face judgment for the genocide of Falun Gong practitioners and the deaths of over 80 million Chinese people throughout the CCP's history.
I'd like to share my experience in helping five types of Chinese people I typically come across at the LA Airport.
There are many flights each day between Los Angeles and various cities in China, and I thus meet many Chinese people at the airport. During the short period of time the tourists are in the arrivals and departure areas, I try my best to convey as much information as possible.
My Usual Routine
I usually stand near a long line of Chinese people as they wait to collect their boarding passes. I have truth-clarification materials and newspapers in hand and tell them, “Free newspaper! Please take one. The U.S. values freedom and democracy. Nobody will interfere with you.” If someone takes a newspaper, I talk to them about the facts they need to know.
I usually tell them that Falun Dafa is practiced around the world, and how people and governments worldwide have embraced and recognized the practice. I then tell them about the grand tide of quitting the CCP movement on the Internet.
I tell the Chinese tourists that since the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, many people who have read the book are able to clearly see the CCP for what it is, and have declared their resignations from the Party. More than 150 million Chinese people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Helping Different People Learn the Facts
Facing different types of people, I bring up the topic of quitting the CCP from different angles. I typically meet with five different types of people.
1. Christians
When people tell me that they're Christians and that quitting the CCP has nothing to do with them, I usually reply, “You raised your hand to take an oath, saying that you would fight for the Party all your life. With this oath you've given your life to it and now have the mark of the beast on you. The Communist Party advocates atheism and forbids the worship of divine beings, such as your God. Do you think your Lord will accept you as his disciple with the CCP's mark upon you?” Once they hear me say this, they usually agree to quit the CCP.
2. Those who believe that the CCP has improved people's living standards
On one occasion, I met a Chinese man who said that China had developed quite well, and people's living standards had improved. I replied, “High-rise buildings have indeed been built, but those people whose houses were demolished were given inadequate compensation, and many people were forced into homelessness as a result. Some homeowners were even run over and crushed to death by the demolition vehicles. In a recent case, 38 people committed suicide because they were forcibly evicted from their homes, and their houses were demolished.”
I continued, “You said that people's living standards have improved, but that is in comparison with the very low standard of living many people endured in the past. If you compare this with the standard of living in other countries there is a big difference. The CCP is really exploiting the Chinese people. Moreover, corrupt officials have embezzled and transferred large sums of money abroad.”
After hearing this, another man standing behind this man said, “The Communist Party is terrible.” I continued, “You're right! Why should we follow such a corrupt and degenerate Party? Be quick to quit the CCP to ensure your own safety.” Both of them agreed, and quit.
3. Overseas students
Whenever I came across a tourist group, I first ask them if they are students. I then wish them much success in their studies. They usually then thank me.
When I ask them to quit the CCP's organizations, some students ask me why they should quit. I explain to them, “When you joined those organizations, you received the mark of the beast on your forehead. If you don't quit, when heaven eliminates the CCP for the monstrously bad deeds it has committed, you will also be implicated.”
I then give each of them an alias and help them register their withdrawals from the CCP organizations. I tell them, “After you quit, Gods and Buddhas will protect you, and you will be blessed and do even better in your studies.” Most seem happy to quit.
4. Guided tourist groups
Before traveling abroad some tour groups are told not to accept information materials. Few of them accept our materials or newspapers, and they often refuse to quit the CCP. They don't trust each other and dare not step out of line from the group.
I speak loudly to the entire group. I tell them how many Chinese people have quit the CCP organizations, what quitting the CCP movement is about, and why people should quit.
I then expound on how evil the Communist Party is. I illustrate the facts with examples of how it has killed over 80 million Chinese people during its constant political movements. I emphasize that Jiang Zemin, the former CCP head, initiated the persecution of Falun Gong, and how he has gone so far as to condone harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, which are then sold for profit.
I tell them that the CCP's evil deeds are not in accordance with heavenly principles, and that heaven will eliminate the CCP for sure. I say, “If you once joined the Party, you have become part of it, and when heaven eliminates it, you will be implicated. Only by announcing your withdrawal will you be spared at the time of a great disaster. You can use an alias to register your announcement, because what heaven looks at is your heart.”
I provide them with several choices, and say, “You can register your announcement to withdraw on the website, the 'quit-the-CCP' section of the Epoch Times website, ask volunteers at the Quit-the-CCP Service Center to help you register, or you can post your statement in a public place and register it later on the Epoch Times website.”
After telling them all this, I talk to some people individually. Some then agree to quit the CCP.
5. Business people
These people are usually willing to listen to me go into further detail about Falun Gong and the persecution, and some agree to quit the CCP afterward. Some don't want to quit, but I first talk to those who are willing to quit, then later return to those who didn't want to quit. After seeing others quit, they tend to change their minds. I encourage them to quit and they usually agree.
I tell those who agreed to quit the CCP to remember, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Cultivating Oneself Well is Key
I learned from my own experience that only by studying the Fa well and sending forth righteous thoughts can I most effectively help Chinese tourists.
I usually study the Fa before I set off for the airport, and keep sending righteous thoughts all the way to the airport, so as to clean out my own dimensional field and the dimensional field of the related airline. If I can do these two things well, I find that I can maintain a good state of mind, the interference and resistance is less, and things go smoothly.
After studying Master's latest Fa lecture I felt a heightened sense of urgency to save Chinese people, so I now go to the airport even more frequently.
I cherish the opportunity to speak to Chinese tourists face-to-face about the information they need to know. When they agree to renounce the CCP's organizations and accept that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good, they look so delighted. This also makes me happy for them to have made the right choice.
