(Minghui.org) The Dazu Procuratorate prosecuted Falun Gong practitioners Chen Qingbin, Li Liangduan and Lu Qingming in the Dazu Court in Chongqing. The three practitioners were illegaly arrested by police officers from the Wangu Township Police Station when distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Gulongxiang Township, Wangu Town on September 24, 2014. They have been detained in the Dazu Detention Center.
Mr. Chen Qingbin, in his 40’s, is an elementary school teacher at Shizhuo Elementary School in Sanqu Town in the Dazu District. He is a famous calligrapher and was included in the "lean gold" (a type of calligraphy) of Who's Who in the Japanese Calligraphy Society. Mr. Chen is also employed as the vice president of the Changzhou Painting and Calligraphy Institute in the Dazu District. He is an outstanding teacher and beloved by his students and their parents.
Mr. Chen and his wife Ms. Deng Shangyuan started practicing Falun Gong before the persecution began in 1999. In 2000, the husband and his pregnant wife went to Tiananmen Square and displayed a banner bearing the words “Falun Dafa Is Good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is Good”. When their son Chen Banyue was about five or six years old, Ms. Deng died because of the persecution. Mr. Chen had to raise his son alone.
Mr. Chen was imprisoned twice for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. The first time he was detained in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp for one year. The second time he was held in the Chongqing 610 Office Brainwashing Center. This is the third time that Mr. Chen has been detained.
Mr. Chen's hometown is in Yuanqiao Village in Baoxing Township. His mother, in her seventies, lives there alone in a dilapidated house which is over 100 years old. With Mr. Chen being held and not able to help her, she has to do all the farm work even in the harshest weather.
Mr. Li Liangduan, in his 50’s, is a farmer from Hengdian New Village in Fulong Township, Longshui Township, Dazu District. Mr. Li was detained twice in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp; the first time was for one year and the second time for three years. Mr. Li is the mainstay of his family. His family was devastated after he was arrested.
Practitioner Mr. Lu Qingming, in his 50’s, is a farmer from Hengdian New Village in Fulong Township. He is a well-known local carpenter and the family's main source of income. His family is extremely concerned about his arrest and illegal detention.
