(Minghui.org) Practitioners Mr. Wang Xianzu and Ms. Zhao Zuli were arrested at a market in Dawan Town on August 4, 2014, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. They had been reported by someone who didn't know the facts about Falun Gong.
The two practitioners were charged with “inciting to overthrow the state” by the Domestic Security Division of the Zhenxiong County Police Department. Their arrests were approved by the Zhenxiong County Procuratorate on September 11, 2014.
The case documents were transferred to the Zhenxiong County Procuratorate on October 27, 2014, by police officers from Zhenxiong County, Zhaotong City, Yunan Province.
Mr. Wang and Ms. Zhao have been held in the Zhenxiong Detention Center for over three months, and their families have not been allowed to visit them.
Mr. Wang's family hired an attorney from Beijing, who has not been allowed to visit him.
It's been reported that Liu Zichang, chief of the Zhenxiong County 610 Office, has conspired with the police department, Procuratorate, and court to have Mr. Wang and Ms. Zhao sentenced. The trial will be no more than a formality.
Background
Mr. Wang Xianshu, in his sixties, from Luzhu City, was a shoe manufacturer and salesperson.
Ms. Zhao Zuli, in her forties, is a sixth grade teacher at Xiwang Elementary School in Zhenxiong County.
