(Minghui.org) In 2009, I helped rescue detained fellow practitioners from the police station. We coordinated with their family members, and the first two times, one practitioner was released each time.
The third time, one practitioner's relative and I went to the police station to seek the detained practitioner's release. After we explained why we were there, the station chief called in four or five officers, who took us to the interrogation room. When the chief interrogated me, I clarified the truth to him. He pointed to the recorder and said, "We are recording you, you will be imprisoned for at least three years." I said, "What you say does not count." He asked, "So whose words do count?" I answered, "Our master makes the decision." He became angry, slammed the door, and left.
Later an officer came in to let me go. I suddenly realized that they wanted to entrap other practitioners, because when I left, the practitioners waiting outside and sending forth righteous thoughts would come up to me.
After I said, "I won't go!" four officers fastened me to the iron chair and went upstairs. After a while, three officers appears and one of them said, "Ever since yesterday, my cell phone has almost exploded from so many calls, all from overseas!" Another said, "Change your number!" I realized they were saying this in front of me as a hint for me to clarify the truth to them.
By the time the relative and I were released at 4:00 p.m. that day, I had persuaded one officer and three auxiliary police officers to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
That evening when I attended group Fa study, I realized it was my show off mentality that was taken advantage of and was the reason for this tribulation. From then on I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate this attachment every day. I reminded myself that it was the power of the Fa, Master's reinforcement, and fellow practitioners' overall cooperation that guaranteed success in rescuing detained practitioners, and that I had no reason to show off.
In 2012, our coordinator was arrested. During the eight months we worked on rescuing him, we visited the municipal and provincial government departments and used this as an opportunity to save people. We persuaded those with predestined relationships to withdraw from the Party, and collected addresses, lists of names, and phone numbers so that we could make truth-clarification phone calls. Our calls and emails brought the truth to multiple departments and organizations of the CCP. Here are some stories of what happened during those eight months.
We repeatedly appealed to upper levels of the government and met some people who refused to listen. No matter what their attitude was, we kept talking about the persecution to them.
One time, the detained practitioner's spouse and I went to the municipal Appeals Office. The man who received us threw out our appeal letter as soon as we said, "Falun Gong," so we clarified the truth to him. All the staff and people waiting in the lobby heard about the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the fact that the Tiananmen Square self-immolation was staged, and that Falun Gong is now practiced in over 100 countries.
We also tried to visit the head of the Domestic Security Division in the police department, but he kept refusing to see us. We asked Master to reinforce us and tried again.
We rode the bus for two hours to get to the police department. The head of the Domestic Security Division was not in, so we went to the law firm across the street to warm ourselves and wait. The husband of the lawyer working at the law firm was also there. He had already quit the CCP. He told us that there was a new director at that police department. I immediately understood it was Master giving us a hint, so we went to that director's office.
As soon as we mentioned Falun Gong, the director's face turned pale, and he was at a loss for words for several minutes. Then he pressed a button. Two officers came in and stood in front of us. The director then called in the head of the Domestic Security Division and asked, "Do you know them?" The division head said he did, so the director said, "Then take them to your office."
Since the division head didn't know the nature of our relationship to the director, he treated us graciously. We asked that the sick practitioners be given medical care, that the officers who beat Falun Gong practitioners be punished, etc. He said he could not make those decisions and would have to ask for instructions from his superiors, but promised to try his best. We explained to him the basic truth of retribution and wished him a good future. He was moved. When we left, he asked two officers to take us downstairs and see us off.
After that we went to talk to the head of the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee. When we got there, he had left to attend a meeting. I dialed his cell phone and made our request. On the way back when we passed the detention center, we were reminded to call the director, a young man in his 30s. On the phone, we explained how several people who had persecuted practitioners received retribution and that Falun Gong was now practiced all over the world.
Days later, the detained practitioner suddenly showed severe symptoms of sickness. Neither the local doctors nor those from the police hospital could treat him. Neither the Political and Legal Affairs Committee nor the detention center dared to keep him, afraid of being held responsible for his death. Two weeks later, the Procuratorate approved the release on medical parole and this practitioner went back home.
During those eight months, fellow practitioners cooperated well with each other. Every step was reinforced by Dafa and guided by Master. We twice prevented the practitioners from being put on trial, exposed numerous lies and rumors, and clarified the truth to many people. Under Master's protection, we passed one test after another.
