(Minghui.org) Ms. Chen Linfen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Fujian Province, was illegally sentenced to 3 years and 3 months in prison in 2013. She is currently detained in Division No. 4 of Fujian Women's Prison.

Illegally Imprisoned
Ms. Chen was born in 1954. She retired from the Zhangzhou Plastic Factory and lived in Xiangcheng District, Zhangzhou City. She was arrested by police for speaking to people about Falun Gong on October 16, 2012.
Soon thereafter, Ms. Chen was taken to the Zhangzhou No. 1 Detention Center by personnel from the 610 Office and Domestic Security Division. The same day, Liu Wei and three other officers from the Domestic Security Division, as well as personnel from the local neighborhood committee, ransacked her house and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books.
On November 20, 2012, after detaining Ms. Chen for over a month, the authorities issued a formal arrest warrant for her. However, nothing on the form was filled in under “case officer.” (Liu Yingjun is the procurator-general of the Xiangcheng District Procuratorate.)
Ms. Chen was subsequently sentenced to 3 years and 3 months in prison. She was detained at the detention center for about 9 months before being transferred to Fujian Women's Prison around July or August in 2013. Two months later, she was transferred to Division No. 4 of the prison.
While imprisoned, Ms. Chen continued to clarify the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to everyone she came across and firmly held on to her belief.
Repeatedly Persecuted
Ms. Chen has practiced Falun Gong for many years. She has been arrested numerous times for explaining the facts about the practice to people, in order to dispel the slander spread by the communist regime. The authorities have also searched and ransacked her house many times.
Ms. Chen was arrested toward the end of 2005 and again in April 2006 by Zhu Jiaming and Liu Wei from the Domestic Security Division. The police interrogated her and ransacked her home.
On May 15, 2011, Ms. Chen and another practitioner, Ms. Chen Yuxian, were arrested on the street by officers from the Domestic Security Division. They were first taken to a detention center in Zhangzhou and then to the Hua'an County Detention Center.
On July 5, 2011, Ms. Chen was taken to Fujian Women's Forced Labor Camp for one year. While there, she was subjected to all kinds of mistreatment, such as not being allowed to use water, take a shower or use the restroom; being forced to sit on a small stool for long periods of time; being deprived of sleep; having her mouth stuffed with a dirty towel soaked in urine; and having her detention term extended.
