(Minghui.org) I have been telling people about the goodness of Falun Dafa since 2008 and have encouraged about 10,000 people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
Overcoming Difficulties
I have met with a great deal of resistance, especially from my family. Additionally, we are poverty stricken because I have been persecuted by the CCP since I began to practice Falun Dafa.
My family members worry about my safety and discourage me from telling people the facts. Some friends said, “You should find a job outside of this area since your family is so poor.”
Some practitioners suggested, “Tell the facts about Falun Dafa over a cellphone. It is safer!” or “What you are doing has its limits, because you can only reach local people, while by calling you could reach people throughout the country.”
No one can stop me. I have been talking to people about Falun Dafa throughout the year. One hot summer day, I felt thirsty and drank half a bottle of leftover cola, which made me feel like a monk. Master said:
“They would eat whatever was given to them, for as practitioners they could not choose their given food, which might include meat.” (Lecture Seven in Zhuan Falun)
Sometimes an idea flashed in my mind, “Stay home and take a rest!” But I thought that many people would miss their only chance to get saved if I do not talk to people about Falun Gong that day. Master said:
“Do you realize how many lives have been lost?! Do you know how I feel when I see those empty seats in the theater?” (“Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa - Fa Teaching Given at the 2011 Washington DC Metro Area Fa Conference”)
Then the thought of staying home and taking a rest disappeared completely.
Seeing Through Outright Lies
Given the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa, many people don't want to listen when practitioners try to tell them the facts, and they make up an excuse out of politeness.
Once I came across a young man at a bus station. At first he didn't want to take a flyer and did not want to listen to what I had to say. When I gave him software to break through the Chinese Internet blockade, he said he was computer illiterate. But I didn't take no for answer and said, “Let's just talk.”
I talked about natural and man-made calamities and also spoke of the ancients' wisdom when it came to natural disasters. I said that the CCP was the cause of all disasters in China and gave some examples that supported my statement At last I explained why gods would eliminate the CCP, and I encouraged him to quit the CCP and its affiliates to choose a bright future.
In the end he said, “You are very knowledgeable and you have spoken very well.” To my surprise, he continued to listen carefully. I explained that whatever I told him could be found online. He said, “Actually, I am a computer user. Please give me the software so I can find more details online. ”
Another time, a young man stated that he had not joined the CCP. He said, “I do not know how to use a computer and do not have a DVD player.” I knew that this was an outright lie and just kept talking to him.
At last he admitted that he was a Party member and agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliates. As I was leaving he said, “You forgot to give me the software! ”
Being Patient Gets Results
Once we met two elderly men. When fellow practitioners tried to give them some flyers, one of them started to swear at us.
I intervened and said, “Please think about it. They are giving you something for free. You do not lose a penny. They are older, too. They contributed their money and time to bring you these brochures that tell you the truth about Falun Dafa. Why?”
One of the men asked me to have a seat and talk a little more. The other man said that he had never actually listened to what we had to say during the past years. I spent two hours talking about Falun Dafa. One of the men agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliates and also asked for software for his children.
Another man tried to argue with me by saying that his life had improved under the CCP. He said, “I am not interested in politics” and called me a “reactionary.” But, in the end, he accepted the materials and withdrew from the CCP and its affiliates.
What I learned from these encounters was that those who don't want to listen or accept our materials might be interested in the software to break through the Internet blockade. Thus, I always remember to bring several CDs along when I go out.
Healing and Fitness Is an Excellent Topic
Since most seniors pay more attention to their health, the topic of healing and fitness is a good introduction and helps them accept the facts about Falun Dafa more easily.
Once I met a man about 70 years old. He smiled and said, “You look so healthy!” This gave me the introduction into the benefits I derived from practicing Falun Dafa.
We had a long talk. In the end he said, “I agree with what you say!” He accepted my advice and withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Moreover, he asked for a CD to break through the Internet blockade and promised to read more materials online.
Again, I met an elderly man on a bus and gave him my seat. When I told him I was over 60, all the other passengers that heard me were surprised, “Are you over 60? Really?” Then I explained that I didn't look my age because I practiced Falun Dafa. They said, “Falun Dafa is so good!”
People Are Interested in CCP Scandals
The subject of corruption is a good entry into telling the facts.
For example, if a person he is holding a bottle of milk, I talk about the poisoned milk scandal. When someone is shopping, I bring up skyrocketing prices. When I come across a college student, I talk about being unemployed after graduation. To a business owner, I talk about exorbitant tax levies. In short, any CCP scandal is a good topic.
Actually, it hasn't been that difficult to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa face to face because it is Master that guides my actions. To save more sentient beings, it is necessary for me to study the Fa well. Only by being diligent can I do well during Master’s Fa-rectification. I keep the safety of sentient beings in my heart and never miss an opportunity to save a human being that could be saved.
